This Prominence Home Whitley 42" ceiling fan was so easy to install, it ended up getting taken down and reinstalled into a smaller room I have. Because the blades were too small for the 15 X 15 room I had it in, I moved the entire ceiling fan into a 12 x 12 which was more appropriate and I bought a bigger fan [5 52" blades] for the other room. I love the size of the LED bulbs that came with it and now I can buy all the same bulbs for both ceiling fans. The fan has a reversable motor. It's Satin Nickel and bright brass. It's powerful, quiet and a change from all the Hunter fans I own.

It's beautiful and quiet. It takes about an hour to install it.

Are you trying to find a silent fan for night time sleeping? Well, unfortunately, this one is not it, but it comes close. I myself have some kind of affliction where I can't even stand the slightest motor noise while trying to sleep on those stifling hot nights. Granted most fans make some noise, but the one I replaced this one with was a bit quieter. It's a cute fan, simple to install, directions are clear, and it moves air well even as small as it is, has a strong high flow setting. Make sure everything is snug to the ceiling, no play, that the two brackets are tight to each other, and the blades are snug to the motor to prevent any wobble. Does come with a balancing kit. When installing, I did wire the wires before putting the two brackets together (contrary to instructions) letting the motor dangle carefully while hooked into the top bracket. It was too difficult to wire otherwise. The most time consuming part is installing screws to blades and each blade screwed to the motor. I used a small Philips for most screws and then a flat head to tighten. If you have a magnetic screwdriver that helps not to drop the small screws which of course are always difficult to find. There is an extra washer and screw. If you're looking for a economically priced fan that's cute and compact, only 14" down from ceiling, then this will work great. If you need total silence from a fan, this fan may not be it. PostScript: I moved this fan to another room that has more ambient noise and it's is actually pretty quiet. I think for those who aren't super noise sensitive trying to sleep this fan will work just fine.

3 speed fan with 9 year LED bulb lights. Operated by separate pull chains, one for the fan (3 speed or off) and one for the 3 lights (all on or all off only). No remote controls. Operates silently with very little wobble and can move a lot of air on the higher speed settings. Slowest speed is about what you’d expect. Lights are quite bright with a yellowish (like incandescent) light. Also comes with a reverse direction switch (to circulate warm air from the ceiling to the rest of the room in colder weather). Ours came with reversible paddles, one side mahogany wood finish and the other side light oak wood finish. Mount them with either side facing down to suit your decor. Mounted over a dining table, the pull chains can be a little hard to reach, but I believe you can buy longer chains in a hardware store, so no big deal. All in all, very pleased with this unit.

I put it in my bedroom. It was a light colour which blended with our bedroom furniture. So it blends in nicely.

Easy to install. If your junction box is fixed on joist or stud, you can install yourself. It sounds little bit on highest speed but ignorable. Looks of the fan is good with two side finished blades. I love it.

Haven't installed it yet but it is very nice and suitable for our cottage

Easy to install, very well constructed. I bought 2 for my large sunroom and they do the job perfectly.
