Excellent ceramic sharpening rod.
I don't typically take the time to do a review but this is different. I have been stone sharpening my knives and have had good results (paper cutting sharp) but I thought I could do better. When this ceramic rod arrived I cleaned it up with a bit of Barkeepers Friend and and selected a knife that has frustrated me chasing a burr. I gave the bevel two passes per side as light as I could across the rod using the same angle I had used on the stone. The results were remarkable. I could feel the burr on the first pass on each side but it was gone by the second pass. The edge became hair popping sharp with a bit of tooth. This was exactly the results I had been looking for. I touched up several more of my knives with two or three light passes across the rod with the same results. Before I do any more of my knives I wanted to share this review with other potential purchasers.

More impressive than I thought it would be!
As soon as it was delivered, I opened the package and immediately used it to put a finish edge on a couple of our kitchen knives before using them to trim up a whole pork loin. This made my trim job a breeze! I have since used it on my fishing filet knife and it has done a great job there as well. Very good value!

Arrives broken every single time.
Every single time the item arrives it's packaged differently but still completely broken in many pieces (I returned for replacements). You can tell it is not a good product though. Very flimsy & tiny. Just absolute garbage. Would give zero stars if possible.
