WONDERFUL BEST Purchase EVER
Thanks for previous reviews I purchased this. And this is super simple. you have a couple options here, you can purchase one small tub of Chobani plain yogurt - to use for your live culture, and then you will add this to 1 liter ( approximately 4 cups) of your favorite milk product, I used Lactaid due to my intolerance to lactose. you can use powder milk fat free milk, soy milk, almond milk, any type of white "milk" product. I mixed the Chobani with the milk in a plastic/glass or wooden bowl, making sure not to use stainless steel as it will kill the live coultures. blend well it will be liquidy…..pour evenly into all 8 glass containers, cover with the lids. Set the temp to 131degrees fahrenheight, there is also a celsius option, and then set the time to anywhere between 8 and 12 hours. Go to Bed, wake up and then place in refrigerator. I used the 12 hour option. NOTE, if you use Chobani Greek, you will get a Greek cultured yogurt, if you use Siggi ( that's Icelandic) you will get a very tart yogurt. You can purchase freeze dried cultures off the internet, but honestly its a waste of money when your local store already has these cultures. if you use your last jar as a starter for a new batch a few days later you will not have to go out and purchase another plain yogurt/ be it Greek, Fage' or Yoplait. Yoplait will give you a smooth blend. This is also great for making sour cream, same temp or a few degrees less and 4-6 hours fermentation. you can also make Quark. YUMMI! I hope this helps your purchase. OH I DID NOT put water in the Well portion of this unit, there really is no need.I have not been paid nor given any incentives for this review, I am totally tickled about this purchase.

A MUST HAVE MACHINE!!!
I made many matches of homemade yogurt the hard way without a machine. I am ever so grateful for this awesome machine. Now I just set it and leave it alone for 12 hours. When I awake, my yogurt is ready and the machine has turned itself off!!!PLEASE NOTE: I read the reviews about the temp running a bit high. I like to keep mine at approximately 110° so I decided to follow that awesome advice. I set my machine lower at 103° for my first batch. I tested it half way through with my digital thermometer and the temperature of my yogurt was perfect! So please, PLEASE do NOT SET IT AT 110° initially because it may run too high and you don't want to kill your culture.SECOND NOTE: I noticed that condensation tends to build up INSIDE the lids and water drips into my yogurt. So my quick fix was to cut a half sheet of paper towel into 8 even squares and put it on the INSIDE of each lid on my second batch. WOW!!! No more watery yogurt. It was thick and perfect! Of course the piece of paper towel inside each jar was damp from absorbing the condensation!THIRD NOTE: If you are not a big fan of dairy then PLEASE try using your favorite nut milk. Mine is coconut milk. Almond should be fine as well. BUT the jar of yogurt which you save for your starter culture for the next batch should be all dairy or goat's milk. Your culture will not survive repeated batches on nut milk alone. So I use 2 tsp of DAIRY culture in each jar (7 of them) of COCONUT MILK. In the 8th jar, I use 2 tsp of dairy culture but I put organic grass fed, hormone free, full fat dairy milk in that jar! I carefully mark that jar so I won't eat it up and I use this to culture my next batch. So I don't keep buying a new culture reach time. Since I'm not a big milk drinker, I portion the organic dairy milk and FREEZE IT so I have FRESH DAIRY MILK every time I'm ready to start the process again without running to the store to buy milk! BTW... canned evaporated milk works very well too. This might be boring info for the pros but I hope this helps the first timers. Also I do NOT add water to my machine. I simply place the jars of warm milk and culture mixed in into a dry machine and this works for me. I do not add flavors, sweetners, fruit or thickeners to my jars while they are culturing because the jars are very small. When I'm about to eat my yogurt then I'll add Stevia (sweetner) or fruit..If you are thinking about getting this machine... don't think about it, just get it! Enjoy!

Works good
I saw on some reviews that you should add water to the container to keep the temp regular. DO NOT DO THIS! It curdled to batches before I realize that was the problem. I tough it was my homemade starter at first. When I used the machine without the water every batch comes out perfect. even with my homemade starter. They say you don't need a machine to make yogurt although I love not having to worry about it and setting it before bed and waking up to it being done and perfect. I would recommend for any one who hasn't got a lot of time.

Couldn’t ask for a better yogurt maker!
I started off with the Euro Cuisine yogurt maker which I purchased from Home Depot and I sent it back. The temperature was too high and there was no way to adjust it. The MV power yogurt maker has an adjustable temperature and every batch I’ve made so far has come out perfect!

Multi functional for Yogurt, Kefir etc.
This was a great buy! I make yogurt and kefir in this. It's nice that you can adjust the temperature and timer. Others I looked at never offered the option. It uses approx. 1 Canadian bag of milk. Yes we use bags in Canada lol

Ottimo
Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

Aggiornamento dopo 2 mesi: inutilizzabile

Excellent product !
Excellent product ! We’re fermenting cooked Soy beans to make Japanese “Natto” and it’s important to be able to adjust the temperature to exactly 43 degrees. We can set the timer to 24 hours and the “Natto” turns out perfectly. We’re not using the yoghurt glasses that came with the machine but are putting 2 glass containers inside the machine that fit well. A lot of yoghurt makers don’t have the option to set the temperature manually and only come with preset temperature modes. That’s why we decided to buy this one. Very satisfied with it and would recommend this to everyone.

Buona!
