SMALLRIG VCT-14 Quick Release Tripod Adapter Plate for Sony VCT-14 Standard, ...

OK, time will tell whether this is a reliable plate (or not). I'm using it with the Smallrig Shoulder Plate and the fit is tight - takes a bit of effort to get them both to mate and it's easy to think that the camera is securely docked when it isn't - I'm used to getting a solid "click". I'll see if it loosens up over a few uses and add to the review. Release is ok.

I use the SONY baseplate regularly for work with rental equipment in primetime TV. That one certainly feels heavier, but having used this one with my own kit I can't tell a difference in performance. Works seamlessly with the Vocas baseplate I have on my FS7 and it is less weight to carry up hills! Thanks for a great product yet again SmallRig.

Excellent quality plate. The only issue I've had is when using the release mechanism to remove the camera, the locking lug doesn't always 'cock' itself. Sometimes it takes an extra pull of the release handle to make it ready for reconnection. Once it is set, you can clip the camera on without touching anything.

It’ll fit any tripod with a standard plate. The quick release works first time and the camera feels safe on it. Would buy another.

Works great with my shoulder mount (1954) on my Sony FS5. Also works well with my ENG style camera too. A lot of the mechanism seems built to be replaceable if something breaks . So far so good though

I use this with the smallrig VCT shoulder mount and it's superbly made. Heavy and durable. Dream with my FS7.

I think this is a great camera plate. I was using it with small rig - shoulder rig. However it got stuck on it twice during the shoot on different days. So I returned it back! So if you buy it, be cautious, take some tools with you in case it’s going to be stuck and you will not be able to remove your camera

Werkt perfect zoals het hoort. Voelt misschien iets minder soepel aan dan zijn grotere broertjes maar als de camera erop staat zal hij er zeker en vast niet van vallen.

Utilisé professionnellement pour du documentaire, et autres tournages qui nécessitent des changements rapides de setup, je suis très satisfait du produit jusque là (un mois d’utilisation) a voir si cette plate résiste à un usage intensif et au temps. Elle est néanmoins robuste et de bonne facture. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Utilisée avec un trépied Benro et une Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4K

Excellente qualité. Une étoile de moins car les vis, mal serrées en usine, ont du être toutes réajustées après quelques heures de tournage.
