Soft Close Mechanism for All Roller Slides and Metal Box Metabox Drawers

I was looking to add the soft close function to a 3 drawer unit i recently fitted.After browsing the web i found these and thought for the price i would give them ago. I had a issue with missing items upon delivery but upon contacting customer services this was quickly resolved to my satisfaction.The instructions need studying but i found all information needed to fit them in the right position.Upon fitting them to the 3 drawers i am happy with the end result. It does exactly what it was designed to do - turned my standard kitchen drawers into soft-closed upgrades. Everything required is supplied - including all the screws. There are two versions of plastic catchment devices, for either wooden drawers or metabox. The instructions aren’t straightforward, and requires some studying before embarking on the DIY. The instructions are one side each (wooden drawer and metabox) of an A5 sheet. I think the instructions could be a bit more descriptive, hence why I’ve not given it five stars. Nonetheless, I figured it out in the end. The first drawer took about 30 minutes to do, while I deciphered the instructions. The second drawer took much less time to upgrade though. The quality of the soft-close is really good. I’m please with it. Well worth it.

As others say the instructions are very poor and there is no template given. I found this just too hard to figure out myself and could not fit it. The product seems to work well, it's a real shame the manufacturer or seller cannot provide usable instructions or a template which would make this a 5 star product and I'd be happy to pay more this, but as it, I have had to return it

Really good product only con is the instructions could be clearer. I decided not to follow the measurements and did it my own way. We wanted to change our kitchen but kept our cabinets. One of the cabinets used to be a drawer with a cabinet and door underneath, we changed it to three drawers instead but to save money kept the top drawer and added two drawers underneath. The new drawers were soft close so I wanted the top drawer to be as well. Installed on a metal box drawer. The catches I put further back and used a hole in the metal box to screw the catch on. Once the catches were on I took out the bottom drawers and put the top drawer in at it's closed position and from underneath I put the soft close mechanism on the catch and then drew an outline around the mechanisms on both sides. Took the draw out and then screwed the mechanisms in (I would leave the middle screw till last in case you need to make an adjustment on your angle height if you make a mistake). (I do have photos and videos but for some reason Amazon has disabled the ability to upload, guessing it is down to covid-19 and them not having the man power to check the uploads)

They seemed robust enough to do the job, but on my B&Q drawers, there's no way these are going to fit. Waste of money

Received the product, necessary screws, and the fitting instruction. Please note there are 2 'anchors' instead of 4 as shown in the photo. The fitting instructions only gives you an idea how it will work but I doubt the instruction fits most customers situation. Once you figure out how the thing works, you need to adapt the measurements for your own situation. The product works as expected but you will need to figure out how it can be installed in your situation.

Did NOT come with the rectangular actuators for drawers with bottom-mount runners. Beware if that's what you have. Worked out fine for me as my drawers had their runners near the top so was going to mount these on the bottom anyway. Also didn't come with any installation manual but it was easy enough to figure out how it works (for me at least, not sure about some other reviewers). Definitely install on both sides for drawers maybe 3 kilo or above. Could only pull my ~8 kilo cutlery drawer a few cm with only one side, and still leaves a tiny gap with both installed. But much better than my band-aid fix of pad stickers nonetheless as these won't let the drawers bounce back. Not sure if the Rok branded one could have a higher weight limit, but since these cost only a fraction of those, I'd rather just install another set above or behind. Will order more for a couple other drawers in the future, hopefully they will still come with the bottom-mount pads...
