A little too big
Can confirm it's the right key, but it seems to be bigger than my original so it's an extremely tight fit. I felt like I was going to break it going in and almost couldn't get it back out. Once it's in, it does turn the switch. I guess I'll try to file it down some... Id say it's better than nothing but it doesn't work very well so not really

Keys were too wide for my Craftsman lawn tractor
The new keys matched the teeth and cuts pattern on my original key perfectly but the keys were too wide to fit in the ignition switch. They were about 13 mils (.33 mm) wider than the OEM. I filed them down to the same width, being sure to take equal amounts off both sides, and they fit fine. Both keys work in the ignition perfectly. This size difference might not be the manufacturer's fault. Since my lawn tractor is 15 years old the ignition switch may have been changed slightly.

Great replacements for a tall fellow with long legs!
I keep bending the keys with my knees when I move fallen branches while driving my lawn tractor. They eventually snap off and I have to extract the stubs with a tiny long nosed pliers. My wife took a photo of me doing this and she looks at her collection of me when she wants to cheer up and get the giggles.

The BLACK plastic upper part of this key is NOT as pictured......but it works just fine
Have a Craftsman 46" Lawn Tractor with Kohler engine. I Had to get a new Ignition switch ( they don't give you new keys with a new switch) and discovered I only had 1 key for the tractor. To be on the safe side, I got out my parts manual and found the Craftsman part number. Searched Amazon and found these whick looked like an exact match, except it didn't have "craftsman" imprinted on the black plastic upper part of the key. I ordered the pair based on the description and photo. Got the package and the keys are NOT SQUARED OFF like in the photo on this listing. I tried both on my new ignition switch and they and both smoothly fit and started up my tractor. So, even through what I got look different, THEY WORK. That's all that matters to me.
