Ambrosia - The Essentials

I was sooo very happy with the Ambrosia CD ! thanks so very much. I have loved this group of guys for years. We may be older now, but the music is still the same. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I have loved Ambrosia since first hearing "Holding on to Yesterday". Such talented guys and the cd is just a tip of the ice berg of those gifted men! They don't have artists like them today!

The best soft rock group around. Great lyrics, sound and melodies. A truly underrated group. Highly recommend this cd!!!

As soon as I received this CD, I popped it in my cars CD player and enjoyed the AMAZING CLASSIC SOUNDS OF AMBROSIA as I cruised around NYC... Thank you.. I am pleased!!

Nobody records material like this any more, very smooth and slick, miss these days and artists so much.

Love Ambrosia, but this cd sounded flat to me, in comparision to the "Anthology" album, which is sadly out of print...plus I missed hearing "Angola", which was like Ambrosia meeting 10CC..isince you can't get the earlier mentioned album anymore, this will have to do.

Cambodia - Some of the most remembered songs from the 70's. Great playing and great song writting. A bit of a prod rock feel to some of the tunes but several "classics" thrown in to make it fun. A MUST have if you're an Ambrosia fan.

Pretty good release for the price, though I believe this release had some odd additions. It seems that the band tampered with the sound, especially the bass. It sounds fine but it caught my father off-guard.

Ambrosia n'a jamais fait partie des superstars du rock californien comme les Eagles ou les Doobie Brothers ont pu l'être. Mais il mérite vraiment d'être (re)découvert car entre la fin des années 70 et le début des années 80 (âge d'or du son West Coast), il a aligné quelques jolis succès (Biggest part of me, How can you love me...) en mélangeant le rock à la pop plus douce mais aussi des pointes progressives ou classiques, le tout étant très bien produit. Un parcours intéressant et agréable à défaut d'être vraiment indispensable dans une CDthèque, ça n'est déjà pas si mal.

This band had everything...but the timing was probably wrong...probably shadowded by some other band that took the place...probably promoted by a monstruous corporate company like Sony...to bad but his is for the $$$

1970年代に、Holdin' On To Yesterdayがヒット（全米No.17）して、レコードを買いましたが、このCDの１曲目のNice,Nice,Very Niceを聴いて、ずいぶん変わったバンドだな、と思いました。当時の音楽誌ではアメリカンプログレと紹介されていた記憶が・・・それが、How Much I Feel（全米No.3）、Biggest Part Of Me（全米No.3）、You're The Only Woman（全米No.13）と次々に甘いメロディーのヒット曲を連発し、AORグループになってしまいました。でも、アンブロージャらしさは残っていて、結構、好きでしたね。本CDはそれらのヒット曲を網羅しており、内容的には満足です。
