Okay, Happ-E-Mare literally saved our mare, and all our sanity! Our 6yo hunter/jumper mare is amazing when it comes to people, she cant get enough of being touched. But she was a nightmare with other horses! She is aggressive to the other mares all day in turn out, she with spin sideways to kick any horse walking by on the cross ties, she will literally spin or go in reverse to kick any horse that gets within 10 feet in the arena or trail riding. And I swear she was in heat YEAR ROUND squirting, winking, squealing and acting like a hussy. So it wasn't just behavioral, it was hormonal driven for sure. We love her, but it was becoming a nightmare to ride with anyone near by. We have tried raspberry leaves, did nothing other than she loves them. Magnesium Oxide actually did help take the edge off and pull her out of Estrus finally in January/February. The physical signs of estrus resolved with the magnesium, but the aggression towards other horses and ear pinning, crazy eyes didn't. We were contemplating inserting a marble into her uterus this spring before trying regumate. Enter...Happ-E-Mare. Granted it's only been 2 weeks, but I noticed a significant shift in her behavior within 2 days! I honestly am completely over the moon about this right now! She is no going after the other mares in turn out, still pins her ears but there is no actual going on the attack. She now allows people to walk their horses by on the cross ties, ears pinned but not spinning sideways to smear them against the wall. She actually seems to have forgot to notice other riders in the arena! Not even pinning her ears while riding, but more focused on her work and listening to her rider! Her body seems more calm and supple physically around the bends with better lateral flexion, she's dropping her head and rounding out her back (we also have a new bit, so that could be it too), not thrashing her head around getting all pissy, and she hasn't bucked or crow hopped once since we began the Happ-E-Mare 2 weeks ago! All this, and it's only been 2 weeks...and it's SPRING!!! I can't even say it could be a fluke, because all the other mares are going into spring heat, and so was she just before we started this supplement. But now I don't even see winking, squirting , or rubbing her butt against the wall to the gelding next door as she was just before we started this. And can I tell you...I feel way better about my daughter riding, and even more so for me...because she has thrown me horribly twice during spring heats...and my daughter into jumps. So this stuff may have just saved her from being sold. I will update as we go along deeper into spring 2019, but I just wanted to review this as I see there aren't any reviews anywhere on this stuff. I'm guessing maybe its a new product, but if my review can help anyone out there...please try it! What do you have to lose? If it doesn't work, just return it!!! Gotta love Amazon! UPDATE: (10/16/19) I am still in disbelief at what a different horse she is! She is literally the best tempered horse ever now! She gets her Happ-E-Mare daily mixed with diced apples and if we miss more than three consecutive days she starts going into heat and starts to show signs of agitation and aggression towards other horses, so we keep her on 1 scoop daily as consistent as possible. She is a little sweetheart and will jump the moon for us, all snuggles and cuddles. I wish more people knew about this supplement, because I truly was at my wits end. I literally think it would save a lot of "unfixable" mares from going to the slaughter. I really do.

I was SO looking forward to writing this review. Let me set this straight first: there is a big difference between a behavioral problem and a hormonal problem. I have done my research, looking strictly for something that would help fix the hormonal issues I have had with my young mare for many years. She is in heat all year round - squirting, winking, screaming, kicking - all of it for geldings AND mares. It was always dangerous to ride her with others. We were blacklisted in the community from getting trailer rides, we always had to have a 30 foot radius, and became a joke. I always came home frustrated and angry, thinking about selling my beloved girl many times. I have tried 4-5 supplements before this one, always hopeful, but nothing has ever worked. Happ-E-Mare was relatively new with few reviews but I knew I needed to keep trying. On day 11 of the loading dose of Happ-E-Mare we had a breakthrough. Of course I was skeptical, thinking I had maybe found the one or two days a year she was not in raging heat. But the next time I brought her out to ride with our friends, it was still the same sweet girl I knew when it was just her and I. This supplement did not change her personality or her behavior, she is still fixated on geldings. However, it took a slight edge of her hormonal distress and that is worth it to me. Yes, this is expensive, but I would pay anything for an option I saw that made a difference. It is still cheaper and a more natural option to regumate, which is not an option for me.

As a long-time mare owner, I've tried everything - LOL. This stuff just plain WORKS well! No more squeeling, b**chy pony mares!!! They are all so much more pleasant to be around, and tolerant of everyone out in pasture!!! This stuff is like a miracle, and it WORKS!!!

I’m using this product on my overly aggressive gelding. He became this way to my other gelding after I brought a mare home. It’s starting to calm him down, it’s only been a week, so I’m hoping it gets better. I had to add a little water to his grain to mix this in because he would sift through it and not eat it.

I love this supplement! Every horse (mares and geldings) in my barn is on it.

I have tried many products for my hypervigilant, spooky gelding. He is very reactive and got worse with the ~10 other products I have tried. After 3 1/2 years, this is the first product that has worked I just bought my second container. I just went horse camping with 3 other strange horses and he didn't spook once under saddle. Unheard of. I was actually able to relax and enjoy my ride. The bull moose coming through camp did set him off and with about 30 minutes of groundwork, he settled and did not spook once under saddle. Amazing, I wouldn't be without it.

I had high hopes for this product; however, the powder had a strong odor, had to use oil to bind with grain, and basically, my mare would not eat it, particularly when I followed the recommended initial dose to load her up. I find that a pelleted product is much more efficient and palatable.

I have a 10 year old APHA gelding that has always been on the high strung side if he isn’t working. So when I added a very passive 3 year old stud colt to my herd my 10 year just became aggressive and nasty to the 3 year old. I literally saw results starting to work within the first week of use. I have now been using Happ-E-Mare for a month and have seen a SIGNIFICANT different in my 10 year old. No more kicking and biting at the 3 year old and much less ear pinning. They are buddies, but I think this just really helped adjust his bad attitude. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone with a high stung gelding. This absolutely works.
