Womens's Medieval Renaissance Costume Cosplay Over Dress

Size references 5’2” 165lbs 36D Size Ordered S/M I needed something quick and simple in a rush on a budget. I ordered this one in the pinkish color. I’m partially color blind so it looks more mauve to me than pink. Let’s start with the cream dress that goes underneath! It’s super light and sheer. But to me the lightness of it made it a great choice when dealing with Florida heat. As for the sheerness, with proper undergarments you cannot see through to the goods. I have pretty plump boobas and it fit very well covering the girls just enough to be comfortable and not so risqué. The fit was not so loose and not so tight. It was a perfect fit. I’m very well proportioned when it comes to having body shape. It didn’t feel like it restricted my movements. For the sleeves to stay below the shoulders definitely use fashion tape. For the vest thing that wen over it, I love it just as much, it fit perfectly and can be adjusted according to your waist and bust size. It was longer than the dress underneath but that isn’t enough to give it a bad rating. I’m short! If anything I like it a little longer. The whole ensemble by itself no petticoat is beautiful. It’s pretty flat but good hair, makeup and accessories make it all come to life! The petticoat helped bring that extra sauce to the whole thing. Overall 10/10! Easy to wash, comfortable to wear and the smaller size was better suited for a tighter fit.

At first, when you open it, you think it’s probably not gonna look good and then you put it on and you’re astonished. This will literally fit pretty much everybody. The key is that you need to steam it or iron it to get all of the wrinkles out, then you have to tighten the back and then you put the colored part on top of the white underlay. Make sure your shoulders are showing And you wanna tighten the front. It should Look like the picture I would take a screenshot of the picture and then tighten that up and then you have a majestic look. It’s perfect. You can even just walk around with a stein and pretend you’re a bar maid. This is versatile because you could be a peasant, you could be a bar maid, you could be a princess if you put a crown on, you can be whatever you want, you can grab a bow and arrow and be a warrior. I have never been so impressed with the simplicity of construction and how well it can look. This is a thumbs up for me. I am normally a size 18-20 and I bought the Largest size and it’s a little bit loose on me, but I wanted that. I didn’t want it to be super tight. I wanted to be comfortable. Also, if I decide to get a corset, and a underskirt I can change the look up entirely Also, I’m 6 feet tall and this falls 3” above my ankle which is upsetting because I actually wanted to be floor length. It only looks good with sandals or high boots.

Ordered XL as chest is size 16. The ivory gown is supposed to be flowy and the red is adjustable at both front and back so not sure why others are complaining about size. Your only problem would be if it was too small. Now, THIS DRESS, BOTH PIECES, ARE A WRINKLED MESS. Washing will make it worse and it states DRY CLEAN ONLY AND NO IRON. That said, this outfit is for a medieval-theme wedding and I was not showing up looking like I unwanted the dress and out it on. The photo of it being worn is before I ironed it all. I ironed it in a VERY specific way and it took about 90 minutes to finish both pieces. I am unsure of the actual temperature, but I set my iron to 1, the coolest setting. I filled a spray bottle and spritzed the fabric until it was WET, not just a bit damp, then ironed. DO NOT IRON THE FLORAL ACCENT PARTS on the front of the dress. If this all sounds too exhausting to you, go with something else, but, as you can see, 90 min and a sore shoulder later (ironing for that long with that much pressure is exhausting), it is ready to go. You MUST wear a full slip with this if you do not want to leave absolutely nothing to the imagination. The ivory gown is so sheer, nipples show through. Your undergarments will show and that matters as the red outer layer does not cover the very front of you. It is designed to be open under the waist. Be aware of that as I have to be for this formal occasion.

I was impressed with this dress when I first opened the package - and it looked even better when I tried it on! The top dress has a true corset effect. You can tighten or loosen the laces on the front, back, and shoulders. The dress underneath is fairly see-through. As a busty gal, I was surprised at the support this dress provided without wearing a bra. I tried several things before finding the best solution for nipple coverage - a white tank top. The materials are very nice, the dress looks authentic to wear at a Renaissance Faire, and the price is good. I'm 5'7" and about 150 lbs, bra size 36DD. The small/medium fits perfectly.

It feels and looks different from what’s shown in the photo, both material wise and style wise. The arms aren’t as ruffled, and it doesn’t hang off the shoulders as easily or go down to the cleavage area. Maybe I got the wrong size. I’m 5’2” and 165 lbs and got a L/XL. The length was good though, it went to the floor and was rarely stepped on. I know it said polyester, but the material is still difficult to sweat or breathe through even though it’s thin. It’s also see through, so I had to wear something underneath, and it was very wrinkled. For personal preference, I think I would go with short sleeves next time and have a steamer ready. It’s nice, just not $45 nice. I don’t see myself wearing it again based on comfortability.

Overall I love this! First off, it is two pieces. The cinching in the front is not great. I really loved the bottom piece. When I got this I play around with the pieces stacking them in different ways. I bought this for my birthday night out to Medieval Times. Now I am not sure what I will do because I have so many different looks. I loved how it looked when I used a black long full (bohemian skirt) over the white, also loved adding a brown belt or black corset. Lots of options. I can see me taking these pieces and mixing them in with some of my own clothes to create a weekend’s worth of different options. Oh and the white underlay is thin but super soft. Have fun! Overall well made. I sized up (because I wanted it in a specific color) it fits large but I knew it would. At 4’11’ almost everything needs adjusting, but nothing a small inseam won’t fix. I will not hem because I like the way it hits the floor.

I wish I would have taken pictures of this just to show how truly bad this was. But I had gotten this for a ren faire that I was gonna be going to with my daughter, and I was so excited about it because it actually seemed like it was gonna be good, or at least the pictures from other reviews made it out to be. And sadly/stupidly I didn't try it on until the night before😭 But the first thing I noticed was the fact that the material was so bad that I couldn't get any of the wrinkles out, and I tried everything I could, but nothing worked. And then when I actually tried it on I realized that the sizing was way WAY off and that this dress was huge. I am a size large and I ordered that size, but I literally pulled the strings as tight as they would go, and it was still so big that it looked like it was just hanging on me. Plus to top it all off, the white under dress was completely see through!! Like I was trying to make this work and was accepting the wrinkles, plus i was going to just pin the dress together to make it fit ok. But as soon as I looked in the mirror and saw that you could completely see the shorts that I had on underneath, nope that was it, I gave up and didn't wear it. I was really really pissed! So believe me when I tell you, don't risk it, it is not at all worth the money or the stress and disappointment. Luckily I was able to at least return it in time to get my money!

Fit perfect and looked just like the picture. It was hot at the renaissance festival and the light fabric kept me cool and it is easily adjustable so I can add layers underneath for colder weather.

Extremely happy with purchase! Ordered on a Monday at about 1pm & it arrived the following day at 11.30am! Less than 24 hrs. Very impressed. The outfit was nicer than what I thought I’d get. Great quality. Should have looked back at the pic on the site, as I wore it incorrectly! Plenty of compliments though. Will definitely go to Amazon again for my purchases. Especially if I need something fast.
