BURNING SMELL & HOT!!!
I have about 50 AA Ni-MH batteries I use for high end audio gear. I did a side by side test with the similar Tenergy 12 bay charger. I was interested in the Palo 12 bay for one reason only... it came in black. Purely an aesthetic call. I turned them both on, each filled with 12 drained batteries and after 3 minutes of charging, the Palo had a STRONG electrical burning smell! As mentioned, all of the AA batteries were completely drained when charging started. But within those 3 minutes, they Palo display gradually started to list them as 1/2 to 3/4 charged in just 3 minutes. I went to unplug it where the AC cord connects to the unit and the underneath was extremely HOT to the touch. Clearly an electrical power failure. Point being: get the Tenergy 12 bay instead!

Dead on Arrival
The charger's blue LED would light when plugged in, but the main unit's LCD is blank.

Kind of cheap
I've had it for about two months and the screen doesn't light up blue anymore. It still charges batteries but now it's hard to see the screen unless you're in the right lighting.
