Great sailing/rigging pocket knife
Perfect… stout pro marine grade stainless steel. Liner lock is solid… ! Bone scales are strong and attractive as well as highly visible in low light—as well as engrave-able. The clip is thick and nicely machined. Solid thick blade…! A+ . Perfect gift for self or any sailor worth his salt. Even if they “already have” a rigging/sailing knife with marlin spike i am willing to bet this would replace it.

Beautiful Rigging Knife
It is well made and presents well and would make a fantastic gift or award to someone special.

Inexplicably tip-down carry.
The build quality is excellent. The bone finish feels great in the hand. A good blade, sharp, and my first serrated blade in a while. The marlinspike is very useful for rigging or even breaking the knot of a mis-tied shoelace. I have two problems with the design of this knife. First: the flipper does not have a spring assist, so it’s a two-motion open whether flipper-then-thumb or flipper-then-wrist-flick. Second and more problematic: inexplicably, the pocket clip is installed in tip-down configuration and is not reversible. Which means you have to turn the knife around in your hand before you can open it, and worse, the flipper can get stuck on your pocket, partially opening the blade as you withdraw it from your pocket. It also means that the lanyard clip is in the bottom of your pocket and it’s harder to use a lanyard as a result. If this knife had the pocket clip in the more useful and less dangerous tip-up configuration it would be my new favorite. Instead it is merely a very good addition to the collection.
