Stunning set, beautiful to use and works well with disperse dyes as well as inks.

I was taking a gamble that hunt crow quill nibs will fit these. I'm happy to report that they do. Really chunky and comfortable to hold for people with big hands. I find it difficult to use the official speedball 102 holders as they're tiny. The holders seem pretty well built but won't really know until I've used them a while. It's nice to be able to use the same type holder for all types of nibs types now that I've a comfortable one.

2 out of 5 nibs are broken because of the plastic box in which they are packed. I have the same problem as others where the nib gets squeezed because of no space left. I don't understand why seller would miss such important design when selling their products which is of no use. Too expensive for such bad design. I highly don't recommend purchasing this. I requested a return from Amazon and they cancelled the return pickup without informing me. Felt like got cheated. Didn't expect this from Amazon.

I've had problems with other dip pen sets having a consistent flow. These are very reliable. I clean them regularly when using them. The largest nib pen barely fits in the case, but I ended up cutting the plastic a bit so it fits more easily. The enamel or whatever on the wood starts to wear down if you use these heavily. I used these for 5-6 hours a day for 2 months and while the nibs held up the wooden handles start to accumulate ink unless you're really fastidious with cleaning them. I like these better than the basic speedball dip pen set.
