A little bit goes a long way.
Blue Apron turned me onto the wonders of this Achaar, & now a tiny bit of this finds its way into a LOT of my Asian & Indian cooking. It's a lot like a spicy pickle puree, with very deep herbal overtones. An excellent flavor enhancer, similar to chili sauce or sambal oelek.

Trader Joe has nothin’ on this!
Honestly, I bought these just to support a small business after reading the news about Trader Joe’s “stealing” their concept. I’d never heard of achaar before, but am a big fan of Indian pickles. It’s my understanding that these were developed to appeal to a wider audience and, thus, aren’t quite as “aggressive” as what I’m used to. That said, these are wonderful, versatile sauces/dips/condiments, and I’m so glad I found them! The roasted garlic is deep with flavor, mild and rich. The tomato is sharp, with a bit of heat. I am inclined to add a ton of salt to the tomato (a la classic Indian pickles), but the garlic works as a wonderful simmer sauce all on its own, as is. I’m so glad I found these, and was able to support this wonderful small business. I can’t wait to go through the entire catalogue of goodness!

YUMMY and versatile
So tasty, if you like a little spice and a "je ne sais quoi" added to some of your sauces! Your dinner guests will inquire!!

Extremely garlicky, fresh with slight tang & sweetness
Wow, this is very garlic forward! Like you’re going to reek (body and mouth) for a day or two afterwards but it’s got a rich, depth of flavor that’s rare in jarred sauces. The garlic tastes more raw than roasted. The sweetness is the only component I dislike; deducted one star. It’s obvious and doesn’t belong imo(it’s not a Thai curry!). Spice (as in heat) level is very low and could even be amped up a bit for more kick. As others have said, this is versatile and a small spoonful goes a long way. I’ve added it to Tasty Bite lentils or chickpeas when I was in a rush for some quick protein with good success and used it as a stir fry sauce thinned out with a little chicken stock and/or coconut milk or even thin cashew butter over veggies and chicken, lamb or beef and some fresh Thai basil or cilantro. Delicious! Even used it to make an Indian inspired cold pasta salad. Try to buy it on sale as it’s a bit pricey otherwise. Recommended!

I keep finding more things to put this on!
This tomato achaar is delicious. Savory, a bit of heat - a warm heat that grows on you, not the kind of heat that knocks you over. I'm probably not using it correctly, but I keep finding more things to put this on. Eggs, pizza, a dipping sauce for mozz sticks instead of marinara. It's expensive, but looks like a quality company that uses quality ingredients. I'd definitely try other products from this company.

Tastes Homemade! Delicious! Pantry Staple Worthy!
I hope I don’t have problems with mold like some of the reviewers! Lol Big turn off! I absolutely loved this the first time trying yesterday. I detected a “roasted” flavor in it that took it over the top. I also am used to condiments being on the sweet side (just me) and so I added some sugar. Wow it was awesome! I got it yesterday and have already used it on cottage cheese, rice, pork roast, potatoes and salad. I think it would also be great mixed with hummus, eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches, yogurt/sour cream for a dip for dippers of all kinds and veggies. The heat is very mild. Flavor is great! I do prefer it with added sugar mixed in but that is just my preference. Will continue to buy. Thanks for a great product.

AWESOME FLAVOR!
I 1st read about this tomato achaar in Bon Apetit magazine, never had it, but it sounded really tasty. Couldn't find it locally, even though I can find the curry mustard & curry ketchup, so ordered from Amazon. This has such a wonderful, rich, spicy (but not too spicy) flavor! It's not a ketchup, it's not a salsa, it's not a curry, but it has flavor elements from all of those combined into a very well balanced condiment/sauce. The flavor is similar to their curry ketchup, but richer, with more of an umami quality. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've tried it on, including beef steak, burgers, pork steak, chicken breast & thighs, eggs, potatoes & just off a spoon. I'll be trying some of the recipes on their website too. Thank you Brooklyn Delhi & keep up the good work! Regards, B.

Always Have At Least 3
I love Indian food. This is the perfect condiment. I use it mostly on Samosas but also in other dishes to add that pop I crave.
