keep it away from kids

Very light actually is 2.4 pounds
Great sword truly sharp accidently cutt myself when i first got it cutt box in half it came in like butter went through all bottles and boxes with ease. I wouldnt doubt for a second it would chop and arm or head off with one swipe.

Beautiful sword, disappointing scabbard and I’d buy another one
I love the sword, super sharp out the box, beautiful Damascus blade, fit and finish outstanding. Highly recommend, battle ready for sure.What’s disappointing is the scabbard, not a perfect fit. Too tight at the blade collar, the hanging tie cord came off, had to gorilla glue it. Had to Dremel the scabbard at the collar for the sword to fit properly, Came extremely snug where at times I could barely pull it apart. That being said, now the scabbard is just right and I’m loving the sword. Had the scabbard come perfect, I would rate a 5. Hopefully it will last for years with some usage, plan to take on camping trips for protection from wildlife, LOL

Fantastic Sword
Beautifully crafted, and so exquisitely aesthetically pleasing. Don't be thrown off by people complaining about it not being sharp enough--it's more than sharp enough, blade and point. The polish was done very well, too. I'm VERY pleased with this katana. And if you insist on having the blade a bit sharper, simply take the time and elbow grease to touch it up, it's that simple.Overall length is 39 inches, while the actual blade is some 28 1/2". This is for, by the way, the $159.99 blade, a little nicer that the cheaper versions. Don't hesitate to purchase this mid-priced sword.

Training begins
An amazing sword/Katana to begin with. I'm trying to learn every style of swordsmanship there is. I have a book to begin with already and the good thing is that this Katana is in the standard length of the type of training I'm beginning with. I'm only 21 but I know I have a long way to go being that I workout, exercise and train alone. It's more peaceful that way.-Learn everything about your basics and let that be the foundation for your growth.

It’s totally worth it’s price
Well worth the money spent .. wasn’t sure before purchasing.. after the unboxing was impressed by the quality.. also used in practice cutting tests .. met all my expectation . Blade didn’t chip or bevel over on the edge and no warping in the blade during heavy cuts ... probably purchase another in the future

Very Nice, Not a Toy
The sword arrived ahead of schedule and a well packaged and secured box system. The sword is as described in the advertising and well oiled upon arrival. Better than expectations once again. I would recommend this sword as well for your collection or for practice and use.Pros: Very sharp. Nice fit and finish of most pieces.Cons: Bamboo pins appeared to be broken off instead of being filed down flush with the handle ( not a big deal ). The instruction manual has some translation problems from language of country of origin into English ( again no big issue ).Overall, this is a really nice piece of work for display or use. Definitely not a toy for kids to run around the house with. Ready for the zombie apocalypse right out of the box. This is the second martial arts sword for my meager collection of various blades and well worth the money. Definitely recommend.

GORGEOUS, AND VERY FUNCTIONAL!
The red katana, priced at $189.99, arrived well packaged. It is an exact duplicate of the pictured katana. The blade was wrapped in oil, and I used a brand new microfiber towel to wipe it down. I was immediately impressed with the beauty of both the katana, and it's scabbard. And yes, the blade was very, very sharp! This sword is definitely not a toy. Kudos to the manufacturer of this beautiful weapon. I am well pleased!

not as described very Disappointed !!!!
very disappointed with this purchase it was not as described in the add. The sword is NOT Damascus its not even folded steel, the blade finish is terrible full of scratches and hammer marks . the blade is also dull i can run my finger down the length of the blade with out even worrying about being cut, the so called real ray skin is not real itis some sort of soft synthetic material that does not even wrap around the tsuka they just used thins trips on the sides of the handle and you can see the edges of it through the tsuka wrap .which was not tight or even straight . THIS IS NOT A FUNCTIONAL SWORD AT ALL ITS JUST A WALL HANGER, BUYER BEWARE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR I GEUSS
