Purelux Bathroom Sink Drain Stopper Faucet Vanity Sink Pop Up Drain Assembly with Overflow, Chrome Finish

We were very impressed with the look and the quality of the drain. It was easy to install. We did not use the provided top gasket as it was too thick for our sink. We used plumber's putty instead. We also used silicone caulk around all joints at installation so we have no idea if this item would have leaked if installed as the enclosed instructions stated. The drain looks beautiful and the pop-up works exactly the way it is supposed to. I will update this review if anything changes but for now we are very impressed with the quality and the price.

Nice quality, doesn't leak, I didn't need to use plumber's putty or pipe joint compound. It's sealed up perfectly just using the rubber gaskets that it came with. Nice positive snap action on the drain. Far superior to the piece of junk that came with the Kohler faucet that was plastic. If it lasts this is five stars all day long and I'll replace them on my other Kohler plastic pop-ups with this unit as I like it a lot. Also we have the chrome finish I know others complained about the painted finish off. We'll see how the Chrome holds up but I highly recommend so far.

Very easy installation. Uses a rubber gasket instead of plumbers putty at the top of the drain, thought I’d give it a try and worked out great. Good product and great value.

I am very impressed with the build quality of this unit for the price! I upgraded our two bathroom sinks with these more modern pop up drains. In my case, the rubber gaskets supplied with these units worked perfectly on my sinks, and they both were leak free. I did read some reviews of this unit before purchasing, and noted several people did have leaks after they installed them. Because every sink is manufactured differently, and they vary from brand to brand, there will be leaks with some, and none with others. If your sink does leak after installing this unit, there are things you can do to correct the issue......using plumbers putty instead of the top gasket, wrapping teflon tape over all exposed threads, etc. In my installation, I did have to purchase longer tailpipes and cut them to proper length as the ones supplied were a little too short......for most people, I doubt this would be the case. Other than that, all went perfectly, and I would recommend the Purelux brand.

I have installed 4 of this brand's drain stopper this year. These are well made and easy to install. The come with a large rubber washer or you can go the traditional method using plumber's putty (which I did).

Like others have wrote before, it leaks where the smooth pipe meets the threaded one. Horrible design flaw, I'm gonna order from a more reputable brand instead.

Bought these for a renovation. The instructions say to seal them which isn't a good sign. Should need no extra silicone. Sealed them anyway and they're both leaking. Small tiny leak. Can't return them so I'm not happy with this.
