Could not get to stay in no matter how rolled or knotted (the ends of the roller) half of them would come out and when taken out, the ones that did roll, looked like a poodle

Its pretty small... like the old fashion foam rollers but smaller. It is only foam in the middle of the roller.

Q: Can you use these with a c-pap head gear ?

I have no problem using them with my cpap.

Q: What is the diameter of one roller?

I would say 1/2 inch and they are foam so it depends how tight you roll them.
