The short story is that this mat traps the litter in the channels, is comfortable for both people and pets to walk on, and despite being thin it DOES keep your feet from stepping in the litter scatter as long as you shake it off once per week. It's the best I've ever tried for keeping the scatter to a minimum and allowing humans to step on it without picking up any of the litter on their bare feet.The long story is...I have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes. I use World's Best multi cat litter in both boxes.I've gone through a bunch of litter mats trying to find one that would reduce the scatter of litter. I even bought one of the fancy ones that you're supposed to be able to pop open and poor the litter out of, but it was a nightmare to clean all those holes of the litter dust or if a cat ever missed the box. It was also uncomfortable to walk on, and the "easy pop open" never opened fully, leading me to have to stick my arm into the pocket to pop it open. Yuck! THIS mat is fantastic, though.The cats don't mind walking on it, so the litter comes off their paws as they walk on it instead of them trying to jump over it. I was surprised at how well the mat traps the litter in the grooves too, so when I step on he mat with bare feet it prevents my feet from picking up all the scattered litter. The comfort and ability to walk on it were both SUPER important, because the litter box is in front of our shower.I won't lie, litter DOES still scatter a bit, but I'm sweeping every 2 days now instead of 2 or 3 times per day that I was doing with other mats.Because of the grooves trapping litter you DO have to shake it very well to get it all out. I shake it out once weekly to prevent the buildup going over the grooves. I haven't had to wash it yet, but it looks and feels like it would be super easy to hose it off in a shower or with a garden hose.

These are the only litter mats I buy now. I have multiple rescue cats and one they has ibd. He tries his best to make it all in the litter box but sometimes it get on the litter mat. With these mags, cleaning and disinfecting them is so easy. Other litter mats, stuff gets stuck in the fake grass texture but these are so easy to clean. I’ve purchased these over 3 times now, for all the litter boxes in my house.

I had these mats for a while and I really liked how well they kept the litter from spreading. However, I never had to deal with any cat urine outside of the litter box until this evening, and I am not impressed with how the mats handled it. My cat didn't even pee outside the litter box per se, but rather tracked pee-soaked litter clumps outside the box, and the mat soaked up the urine like a sponge. I've rinsed off the mats before, but that was just to clean off dusty litter. The material is a spongy rubber that seems to absorb liquid, so I don't see a way to effectively clean out the cat urine 100%. Possibly if I gave it a good soaking/scrubbing and used an enzymatic cleaner, perhaps. But, I just chucked it in the trash because that's more trouble than it's worth, so I'd rather just get a better litter mat.Honestly, despite how well it keeps dusty litter bits from spreading, I would not recommend this to a friend, unless you're OK with having pee-soaked mats that you'll have to spend time and energy soaking and scrubbing, because if a cat pees on it once or even tracks pee outside of the litterbox, it's ruined (in my opinion).

I researched and compared so many fancy anti litter tracking rugs and boxes and possibilities. Finally, it was just too frustrating to go on and I decided to gamble on affordable - - it paid off! This finally works!Our digging monster's litter box is finally contained to the box and only the area of this rug. It also seems to have helped with any further tracking (do they carry it between their toes?) Love it.

I have a very high-peeing female cat that constantly misses her litter box so I've learned to keep puppy pee pads around the litter box but since they aren't very attractive looking I wanted a litter mat to go over it to catch the litter that was kicked out. I've tried several different cat litter boxes and litter types with her and for the price of this XL mat it seemed like a steal! It's just a thin foam, much like a shelf liner. It helped keep some litter from being kicked around but not much. Also when my cat tried to bury some of the litter you can see the claw marks and tears in the foam quite easily. In the picture you can see where the mat has been stained by cat urine and it is quite difficult to try to clean off. I will replace this mat once I try a different type of litter for my cat to see if that helps with the tracking. I'm glad this was on sale because it lasted not even a week so if I had paid full price I would have been disappointed. I will say for other cats I do think this foam mat would work it's just quite difficult with my kitty.

It's a great size..I have it for two of the breeze litter boxes .. they sit side by side. I'm not sure if my cats just love to get agreessive with the mat or it's because they run out of the litter but because of the color I can easily see it all torn up due to their nails. But it's not just shredded it has holes in it.

I had one before and it lasted for 4 years, started to break down so I purchased this one as I knew I would need to replace it just because of cat claws. This mat washes well, works great to catch the litter scatter, I use non clumping litter and I have the mat right next to kitty's exit from hooded litter box and it is great litter catcher, will always use and the color selection is great too. Kitty doesn't mind it either.

I love this and have bought it multiple times through the years as they get worn out. Although they hold up great being waterproof and are easy to dump the litter off of, unfortunately, cats have claws. And my cats seem to think it’s necessary to scratch outside the litter box as well as inside. Inevitably, it gets torn up beyond recognition and replaced through no fault of its own.

Estuve pensando mucho la compra de este producto ya que pensé que era cómo cualquier otra "alfombra" que se usa en las cocinas para poner los vasos, platos u ollas. Finalmente el precio y mi necesidad de evitar que la arena estuviera por toda mi casa decidí intentarlo. Wow!, qué sorpresa. Lo que la descripción no te dice es que el producto tiene una capa transparente que evita que la arena pase por los orificios (que era mi principal preocupación). El gato se limpia bien las patas y cuándo es tiempo del limpiar su área, lo único que tengo que hacer es levantar el tapete, y con él, toda la arena que pueda tener. No te vas a arrepentir.

En verdad es grande! Creí que iba a ser más pequeño pero la verdad el tamaño está súper bien (sobre todo por el precio). El material es bueno también, tiene plástico en la parte de abajo para que no se pasen las piedritas que caen del arenero. Es fácil de limpiar y se ve bien. Al principio mi gatita lo brincaba al salirse del arenero pero después se acostumbró y ya lo pisa normal. Recomendado! :)

Product works as advertised. Litter is contained better. What did not work were the creases from the folds never went away and the mat didn't sit flat on the floor. Second is the price. This is quite expensive. Dollarama sells a rolled up version of this mat. It's smaller, but only costs $4. Seeing how these mats needs to be replaced every so often, much more economical to go the Dollarama route.

¡Me encantó! Nunca lo había usado y antes de comprarlo pensé que no era necesario pero decidí hacerlo y la verdad es que estoy muy contenta de haberlo hecho, evita que la arenita pase a estar en todas las partes de la casa y mantiene el área limpia.
