An indispensable reference book.
As an enviromental engineering currently finishing my degree I can see it's a masterpiece, it has everything about wastewater treatment, you could literally build any kind of treatment plant from scrap with this book. It might be a little bit superficial in some technologies, which would require extra bibliography research but it is the most complete on the market. It is that kind of book that despite having half a dozen in the faculty library is permanently gone, and when there's one there's so much people looking for it that the librarians toss a knife between them and let the destiny decide.

Excellent Textbook, Lacks Global Perspective
I bought the book and it is worth every dollar, including the additional 18% sales tax in Israel. It is a monumental work, very clear and well written. We needed this book. Having said that, I feel that the reuse aspects in general and the "unplanned indirect drinking reuse" in particular, have received only a marginal coverage in the book. That may be sufficient for the U.S.A., but innumerable European and Asian cities base their water supply on rivers that are mostly treated wastewater. In Israel, agriculture is based on reuse yet in the book, agriculture has the same weight as golf courses. Again, in the U.S.A. it may be so, but certainly not in the rest of the world. Industrial reuse mentions only evaporative cooling and that without the critical problem of blowdown disposal. Additional examples would be helpful. In reuse issues, "emerging patogens" (i.e., those feared but yet inexistent) are given more attention that critical problems such as salt content and subsequent aquifer and soil salination. Table 13-6 does not even mention salt. The inclusion of European and Israeli contributors would have produced an even better, a more balanced work.

Wastewater Engineering: Treatment and Reuse
New product, without erasures or breaks, but with misprints and spots of ink in any pages, for the rest is what was searching and waiting.

Good Catalog
I bought this huge volume so I could develop some puzzles in our magazine. Chemical engineers need to expand into this area largely inhabited by misplaced civil engineers. As water shortages become more prevalent, continuous recycling of water will become a necessity in chemical plants. Then, there is the cost of process chemicals needed to treat water. Many of these are hazardous wastes. You will need to know what your options are for conditioning these waters. The author covers every form of wastewater treatment in significant detail for its genre (handbooks). I especially liked the block diagrams showing process steps. As with most handbooks, more examples would improve its use. However, with that aside, it shares a space on my shelf. If this review helped, add your vote.

This is an international edition
This is an international edition even though they have not described it as one anywhere. Beware that it is the THICK book and the picture of the front cover is not of the international edition! I was very upset that they described this as the non-international edition! Just beware that it is the international. Still has the same content but is like twice as thick and heavy.

Excelletn book.
I like very much of this book. It is a handbook, so no very deep information can be found in it. It covers a bright branch of wastewater engineering and it is very necessary to engineers working in this field.

Not the original book
This wasn't the actual book. It is copies of everything that is reconfigured to look like the book. Still works but for the price, I was expecting better quality.
