Is it better to use this before or after using a flat iron on your hair?

Using it before will do a lot of damage to dry hair. Natural oils are better while straightening. Then you can get rid of oils after you straighten with dry shampoo

What is the difference between all the colors?

some are just scents that are different, and others like the one i use provide a hint of color. I use brown tinted because I have dark hair that shows white powder with other dry shampoos

to me, it smells like cherry lifesaver, and is a pleasant smell -- not cloying or medicinal
