best "eye drops" I have tried for my extremely dry eyes. Due to potent pain meds, I feel as if I have sand in my eyes, especially upon waking from sleep! This feeling is so awful that I dread waking up from sleep- knowing the dryness and pain I will feel in my eyes. My med have led to earrly induced menopause which I was told was th most likely culprit for my dry eyes and also the gritty feeling of and I have in my eyes. I was given RESTASIS prescription drops by my ophthalmologist since he said my eyes liked extremely dry. The Restates burned my eyes for 30 minutes or more, and it never helped me,so I had to discontinue. I hd also been using the REFRESH lubricant eye drops which helped to some degree, but as my eyes became worse (within months), I fond myself using an entire full sized bottle everyday upon waking up! FINALLY I discovered this product- REFRESH CELLUVISC lubricant drops, and they work!!!!! These are my savior! I can now get through the day without closing my eyes due to dryness so severe that my eyes were painful. Just a warning: when you first drop them in your eyes, your vision may be temporarily blurry for about a minute or less. Your vision becomes crystal clear quickly, and the DRYNESS AND THE FEELING OF SAND IN MY EYES WHICH PROBABLY CAME FROM MY EYES BEING TOO DRY, WERE GONE! I am symptom-free when I use these drops. They are pricey compared to others, but worth every penny.

For years, I had been waking up in the middle of the night with a weird feeling in one or both of my eyes. As soon as I opened my eyes, it would feel like a burning hot fork got shoved through one or the other. I'd eventually be able to go back to sleep, after massive streams of involuntary tears poured out of the afflicted eye. I went through several optometrists who offered all manner of wacky explanations, and never gave me a useful solution. The problem was extremely unpredictable, and really made me sad.Finally, I found an optometrist that listened to my issue, and he immediately told me that my eyes were too irritated and dry, and that my corneal surface was probably being ripped away when I woke up with the weird feeling. He told me that I could solve the issue by reducing inflammation in my eyes, and by occasionally using Celluvisc if my eyes felt dry before bed. This. Stuff. Works.It is weird and feels like you're dropping gobs of vegetable oil in to your eyes, but it totally coats them and keeps coating them for HOURS. I have not used an eyedrop that works anywhere nearly as well as this does, in terms of eye lubrication and moisturization. Amazing crap, this is. I typically can get a couple uses out of a single tube, which is nice, given the cost per unit.

After a long bout with dry eyes that have given me headaches and blurry vision, I was recommended these eye-droppers by an eye surgeon (the father of a friend of mine). I had tried red-eye drops (which are actually bad for dry eyes) and other artificial tear products, but they would only provide very temporary relief. Celluvisc drops generally provide me with all day relief, and I always keep a couple of these "single use" containers on hand at work or at home.Know that this package contains "single use" drop containers, which I find are good for 3-4 uses. Just be sure not to lose the caps and you can mostly seal them by popping the top back on after use. All you need is one drop in each eye. I prefer single-use containers because they pose little risk of becoming contaminated like larger eye-droppers. And if you have hesitation, just throw it away and you won't be losing much.In terms of the fluid, you will notice that celluvisc is more thicker (more... viscous?) than artificial tears and can blur your vision temporarily for a few minutes. It will also leave a crusty residue in your eyelashes if you don't wipe your eyes after getting them nice and hydrated. I like to check about 10 minutes after putting drops in my eyes just in case because you can look a little questionable with crusty eyes :)

I have pretty bad MGD and my eyes get dry very easily. I am on Restasis.While these drops seem to provide immediate relief, they seem to cause the problem to worsen in the long run. For example, if I use these at night, then when I wake up my eyes don't feel as dry. However, my eyes end up being more dry that day and it gets worse every day while I'm using this. If I stop using it, my eyes do better overall though they feel a bit dry when I wake up.I suspect that the gel is interfering with my eyes' natural ability to lubricate itself. So while using the gel, my eyes feel good but my eyes become very bad between uses of it.

Oh man!! I have some really dry eyes, thanks to Sjogrens disease. Sometimes they burn like crazy, they are so extremely dry (especially in winter when the furnace air is blowing inside the house). When I use Celluvisc drops, it's like putting out a fire. It feels so so good. These are the best gel drops out there. My opthamologist told me to always use the PRESERVATIVE FREE drops because the drops that contain preservatives can end up actually irritating your eyes more!!! So I tried these drops and wow, they are fabulous for severe dry eye. If you happen to have Sjogrens, give these drops a try. They will make your eyes blurry for about 15 minutes after applying, they are gel....but those 15 minutes feel like heaven if you have burning, gritty, dry eyes like mine!! I highly recommend these drops. Just don't use them if you have to drive right away or do anything that requires your eyes to be clear......just use the drops when you have a little time to just sit and relax, or before bed. Excellent product. Best I've tried.
