Equus 8068 3-3/8" Tachometer (DIS), White with Aluminum Bezel

The old SunPro tach in my 1958 Ford was apparently the culprit in random ignition issues; as far as I could tell, it was occasionally grounding-out the coil, essentially acting as a kill switch. I replaced the SunPro with this unit. So far, so good. This is not your granddaddy's tachometer. Some sort of servo actuates the needle (the full-sweep rotation on startup looks cool, if a little unsettling at first), and there are WAY more options for cylinder count (old tachs typically offered 6 or 8 only, sometimes 4). The backlighting color options are cool, but not as sophisticated as you might think: it's just little colored boots that fit over the light fixture. My dash lighting is yellow-white, so I'm not using the colored boots. Very steady RPM display, seems like a solid unit.

Very nice tachometer! The main thing that l cared about is that it works very well on my 2023 Suzuki DR 650. Easy to install via included induction coil clamped on spark plug wire. Easy to read instructions with diagrams included. I wish it came in a 2" or 2 5/8" size but l was able to barely fit the 3 3/8" tach behind the bikini fairing. This is practically the only analog style tach that's less than 5" diameter that works with this bike. Trust me, l've been searching hi and low for a non-digital tach for awhile. Thank you Equus for making this very high quality, responsive and a tach that will practically fit anything!

Multitude of mounting options from in dash to 360 degree bezel installation. Wiring comes preconfigured for “standard coil” installation to “pulse pickup” with the enclosed pulse sensor, it is a “complete” package! And, once installed, the tach is easy to read and works great! And yes, that’s a VW vintage Beetle, with a not so vintage engine, she’s installed in.

Works great, easy to set up. Using on an MSD 6A box in a 62 Mercury with a SBF. Feels a little cheap but I like the mount on the column. Hid it down a little so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb and it matches the other gauges in the car with the white face.

Looks good and setup is super simple. I would use it again. I have only had it in for about a month so I can’t say how long it will last but i don’t have any concerns with it. I would buy it again
