Very dated work
I like Lyall Watson's work a great deal. Heaven's Breath is a true classic. This book, though, feels- and reads outdated. I would not recommend it just for that reason.

I have known this book for almost 40 years and it was a pleasure to find it again online. As far as the quality of the product it filled my expectations.

References do not support claims made in this book
I was fascinated by this as a teenager, and in part inspired my dissertation on telepathy at University (University of Edinburgh have a parapsychology professor/dept). For this I spent hours/days trying to track down the relevant references in this book. When I finally found them I realised the points referenced in Supernature are simply not in the referenced material. This dishonesty in Lyall Watson's book shocked me at the time. It conveys some apparent credibility and scientific appearances by referencing source material but he appears to have made stuff up for his fantastical accounts which has no supporting evidence. Don't believe everything you read.

Stimulate the Science/Nature/Consciousness wonder of our youth with this Natural Wonders classic sans materialist brutalistism.
While I should probably reread this before writing this review, I had continued with his "Gifts of Unknown Things" and "Lightning Bird" but now our library system has none of his titles! Akkh! Cuz this is a classic! Besides Lyall Watson's incomparable creds, one marvels at his easy reading style. Aside from his showcasing of the amazing in the Natural world, he dares to debunk the debunkers with no emnity or charge--just the facts. Ex. How 900 Rumanian women chose boy child conceptions using an odd magnetic field flux of the moon known to astrologers of antiquity; but how, as it is relatively a recent scientific discovery!? Also experiments showing the future affecting the past as well as mind over chance effects, etc. It is a bit like combining David Wilcock's "The Source Field Investigations" & Rupert Sheldrake's "The Sense of Being Stared At" with a smidgen of Amit Goswami's "Creative Evolution" & "The Self Aware Universe". However, the latter two volumes, offer ingenious original speculative leaps at explanation. However, young minds should start with Lyall Watson, along with Jules Verne's "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea!" These provide stimulating, conversation openers, & points of departure from the pedantic, old garde behind the times academics. --Warren WHM

Supernature Lyall Watson
i have had this book on my shelf for many years and having read it several times, I still refuse to part with it. With the advancement of science there are now parts of the book with which I cannot agree but nonetheless find it a fantastic read so much so that I recently purchased this book for a friend. They are thrilled with it and has encouraged them and offered them a whole new perspective on nature.

A must read book for readers with open minds.
I had read this book before but wanted my own copy.It is an easy to read book of scientific fact about many of those interesting beliefs that some of us would like to have an explanation for.Subtle energy - clairvoyance - healing? An excellent introduction.Trish Niblock
