Tableau Dark Wax Furniture Polish, 100 ml (Pack of 1)

Good wax but unsuitable for darkening wood products.

Works well on darkening wood. It is effective and easy to use. It is applied by a sponge of paint brush making it easy to apply and to use on surface.

A small size tub of dark wax that I used twice. Good overall effect on a light wooden coffee table, but have since used Oak Dark wood stainer to get a deeper dark colour for my table to match the dark wooden unit in my living room.

I transfered the wax into a glass dish and melted it in boiling water in a saucepan. The applied the melted wax with a paintbrush onto the bare wood face. This ensured the wax penetrated into the wood, any excess was wiped away with rags. The resultant finish was excellent.

Very good, improved the look of my faded mahogany.

If anyone want's a product to restore mahogany UPVC windows through Sun damage, then look no further. I used the scratch cover with a cotton cloth, ( old pair of pants ) don't use a fluffy rag because the fluff will stick to the window frame where it has gone rough. You can watch the window's transform before you're eye's. You need very little product to achieve a great result. It has now been 2 month's since I did this magic act and although we have had mixed weather i.e. lot's of sun and rain it has not affected the finish that I achieved. I am not saying the window's look brand new but they are as close as you can expect, from the road they do look good.(my window's are 25 years old.)

The product polishes very easily as it is a very soft wax, it also has a very pleasant smell unlike most. However it is not suitable for use on a kitchen table which is what I bought it for as it is not resistent to water and allows the wood to be marked very easily. This means that you end up re-applying it on a regular basis which with the size of the jar is very expensive. I've since used a different, harder wax with much more success - it lasts for weeks rather than days. This wax would be suitable for surfaces that are unlikely to be marked by water - perhaps in a lounge/sitting room.

Used to finish newly installed dark hardwood and refresh existing dark wood timber, after application enhances new wood and rejuvenates old wood, brilliant.
