Great quality but be careful over wrist size
Love this strap, high quality thick leather, it make my Seiko watch look 100%. It is a little on the short side though, on my wrist, which is 19cm circumference, I only have 3 holes spare. So if you have smallish wrists, between about 15.5 and 20cm circumference it’s a bargain.

Some of the negative reviews are from 'Dafties'....... Lovely, comfortable strap👌
So I was going to buy a different strap due to some comments saying the colour lightens when you bend the strap...... This is pretty obvious dur to the type of leather but easily fixed by using leather conditioner everyday for about a week when you first start wearing the strap to lock in the colour and the oils.IMO this is a great strap, gorgeous colour and looks like it will be hard wearing on my Heimdallr 6105 Turtle homage.Edit: Fitted to the 6105 Sharkey and looks AMAZING!!!!

It is leather, but not all of it
Bought this to fit my Steinhart Marine Chronometer 44 mm. The white face and polished bezel and crown go well with the understated light tone of the strap. The buckle is a bit bulky due to the fairly pronounced point in the middle. A flatter profile might have been more classy, particularly as it's heavily polished. The resin sealing at the edges is definitely ok, as some reviewers have been put off by it. In my opinion, it's not bad at all. But it lead me to believe that the whole strap thickness was not leather. It certainly is leather, but it's 3 layer sandwiched - the top and bottom layers are leather (and smell very much like it too!), but there is a central layer which is not leather. This can be seen by looking through the punched buckle holes and twisting slightly. So while it is leather where it matters, it's not entirely leather. I don't really mind that to be honest.Where I do think the strap lets itself down is in the finishing, as others have alluded to. The glue which is used to seal the stitched sections is not well done in the factory. It's very obvious, and looks like it's just been slathered on without much care. I really don't know how much longevity this strap will give, and I think it's the stitching that will give out first. The strap came well presented in a small box, and included 2 sets of spring bars (4 in total), and a strap replacement tool. I have a Bergeon tool, so didn't need this, but it was nice to have. Very thoughtful, as not everyone would want to buy one especially as you'd usually have to buy a full kit. Impressed with that.If I could give half stars, I would. I think 3* is too low, but 4* slightly too generous. 3.5* from me

Just the job with my Garmin Vivoactive 3
Lovely thing, this. Delivered promptly, fitted easily, looks the business.I ordered the 20mm oil black wristband to partner a Garmin Vivoactive 3 as I wasn't getting on with the wristband supplied with that. The oil black is a good colour match (if you can say that about something that's black) for the body of the watch. Even though I'd class myself as relatively fumble-fingered, the supplied pins and tool make fitting the watch strap easy. It goes round my wrist securely enough to hold the watch in place so that all its smartwatch functions (heart rate and the like) work, but without feeling restrictive or too tight; I use a hole in the middle of the wristband and there are plenty others free in either direction if your wrist is larger or slimmer than my own.The leather has the look of something that will develop character as it ages, so that after a while it will look like something you've had for many years. Perhaps then it isn't a strap to use for a dress watch or one you want to wear when you wish to look at your absolute best, but for me and my smartwatch, that's just fine. If you're after something that will wear to give you a 'shabby chic' look, or like me you like to see things develop some character as they age, it'll be just fine. So, as it's hard to think of how this might be improved, five stars. Job's a good 'un!

Probably not plastic.
Some reviewers think their strap is plastic, and I can see why they would think that, especially if they bought an Oil Wax version as I did. The edges of the strap are finished so well that they look moulded, but the smell of leather (the perfume in the plastic?) should reassure customers.I have 2 complaints. The leather is thick enough that putting the strap on and off a watch is tricky and makes a mess of the ends, so quick-release bars would have been a better option. The hole positioning requires me to wear the strap slightly loose, and the guide loops are big enough that when free to do so they slide off the end of the excess strap instead of holding it down.

Soft and comfortable leather watch strap
I saw some reviews which questioned if these straps were real leather - they are, but I can understand why some could be mistaken. The edges are coated in a 'rubber/plastic' material, but the rest of the strap is leather. I initially purchased a light brown one and it is very soft and comfortable. The finish was smooth and uniform like 'nubuck' leather and it changes colour as it ages. I was so impressed, I bought another one in the dark brown colour and it is a completely different finish - a more traditional hard surfaced polished finish with more traditional grain. It still feels soft and flexible like the light brown one I initially purchased, which is excellent. The only criticisms I have is that both 'keepers' are free running, rather than the usual way of having the first one beside the buckle fixed in position and the descriptions of the different finishes & colours could be clearer - thus one dropped star in the overall rating.

Value for money
I was pleasently surprised by the packaging and this boded well. The strap itself is of a reasonable quality and fits wellBut the two loops that are meant to retain the remainder of strap post tightening are too loose to be of any considerable use but the serve a purpose of sortsI didn't see the point in returning for a replacement as I am sure this is a design flawThe leather is of a good quality so if I get 18 months it would have served it's purposeCheers
