Honest review from a genuine purchase
I have these in my inline skates and they are one of the best bearings I have skated on (only beaten by Bones ceramic Swiss which cost over £240 for 16) they are mooth and fast. I am just over six foot and weigh 103 kilos, so I present a quite a bit of load force on the bearing. I have tried (in oder of performance, best being first) Bronson G3, Oust moc9, Moto, Bones Swiss, Bones Ceramic swiis, HI-Lo Swiss, Spitfire cheapshots and the Old Boys beat them but Bones Ceramic Swiss but for a third of the cost. Whilst I do give the bearings a greater load, as I mostly skate indoors I do not do jumps, drops or grinds so not sure how they hold up to heavy impact. Cleaning first time I used Bones speed cream to lubricate and was very disappointed in the performance drop, I then tried Broson Ceramic cream, which was even worst the bearing got so hot when skating fast it caused my wheels to get hot. I tried so many different oils the one that worked best for me was Ionic flux black ceramic oil and then next is Rollerblade High-End bearing lube/dry oil. The Rollerblade dry oil is great really smooth and fast for two or three, two hour sessions, depending how quick I am skating. Then performance starts to drop off and when you go to clean, there are small white clumps of the lubricant in between the ball-bearing. Ionic Flux, which is brilliant but expensive. For me no matter how hard/fast I skate the lube lasts without any drop in performance. I clean and service my bearing about every 8 weeks (22hrs) of skating and this is only because I predominantly skate at indoor sport halls, whose tilled flooring is very dusty, which inevitably ingresses the shields. Also to clean out the ball of long hairs that has wound around the axle bolts, ick.

Just as good as Reds for less!
Gradually been replacing the bearings on all my boards with Old Boy's, the latest being on an old Gold Cup Banana Board. They roll super smooth straight out of the packet and I've had no problems with the quality as mentioned in some of the reviews. The stickers are cool too. A black shields option would also be welcome.

These a the real deal
Fantastic bearings. I was able to skate longer and faster with less effort. Great value at the price. I've recommended to my other Olderblader friends.

A great all round bearing
Replaced with these bearings and these are perfect. A smooth ride and really well made.

Decent bearings for a reasonable price.
I have 2 sets of these bearings and both have been reliable. Being pre-lubricated, they'll spin more freely after a couple sessions of skating when the lubricant heats up and disperses across the whole bearing. I use these with 2 speed washers + 1 spacer per wheel, which aren't included, and recommend you do the same for best performance.

Amazing
Well after talking to a friend about ceramic bearings for skates, I was a little sceptical. I have been skating for some 30 years and always gone down the steal route.. So looking around found the oldboy's and have to say just how impressed I was after my first skate in them. they have change the way I skate, less effort, more speed.. Have already put a number of friends on to them and best of all they are half the price of other ceramic bearings...

It's very smooth
Some of my favourites. They spin quite nicely and last a long time

8 bearings. 2 good. 6 poor
Fitted these bearings about a month ago, so worn in properly now. Since day one only one wheel turns with any speed/duration. The other three are dead. Waste of money

Take it from this old boy: Old Boy bearings are the best new bearings around!
High quality bearings at a low price. I have a set of Old Boy Ceramics for my big cruiser and they roll flawlessly and quick, very much like the more expensive Bones Swiss. So, I bought a set of Old Boy Chromes for my Street board which I retired awhile back but am bringing back. I fitted my new Chromes into Bones 55mm wheels and used them a couple of times at the skate park. They spin really nicely albeit not like the Ceramics, of course. So far, the Chromes are way better than most of the “entry level” bearings out there that I’ve used before, like Bones Reds, Black Panthers and Diamond ABEC 7s (which are horrible as they ceased up and rusted during a short period of time). I’ve been skating for almost 28 years and Old Boy bearings are the best bearings to have come out in a really long time. They’re really well-made and priced right. The Chromes are comparable to Bones Super Reds, which are more than twice the price. They spin and feel the same. I’ll never use any other brand of bearings ever again. Thanks for making such a great product!
