Savox SC-1258TG Super Speed Titanium Gear Standard Digital Servo

Incredibly strong and unbelievably fast for a great price. Yes, the SC-1258TG and it's high speed partner, the SC-1257TG, are loud and power hungry, but that's to be expected with 166 ounce inches of torque and .08 second transit times. I've used these as steering and throttle/brake servos in very fast nitro short course trucks and even faster nitro touring cars and on the swashplate of a 600-class flybarless helicopter, all of which are overpowered and highly demanding of the servos, and I have yet to see a Savox go up in smoke or even so much as knock a tooth off one of their titanium gears. Bonus points for the Futaba-compatible 25 tooth output shaft spline which makes the SC-1257TG and SC-1258TG drop-in replacements on many Traxxas vehicles. Make sure your BEC or receiver battery are strong enough, though, as the 1258TG can draw as much as 5 amps if put in a bind.

My Traxxas 2075 steering server locked up after 12 times of use. (I've only had the Traxxas Stampede 4X4 VXL for 45 days!) I see many individuals in blogs complaining of the same servo problem. This servo is much heftier and better designed and I bought it after reading so many great reviews - as the best replacement for the stock one. There is a better Traxxas servo available (2075X) (with metal gears instead of plastic), but I read mixed reviews on that one as well. This Monster truck is truly incredible, but I think they should consider a DELUXE version with all metal parts, I would buy it at twice the price!!

Performs great! Lots of torque which we needed. Make sure your servo saver is tight. Pay attention that you get a servo horn that matches the gear tooth count. Savox servos are noisy so don't be alarmed by a buzzing sound... its normal. Also make sure your ESC can deliver the voltage this draws. You might need to add a BEC.

I borrowed one of these servos from a friend. Liked it so much I bought one of my own. My first Savox. Best servo I have ever owned. Power, speed and durability all for a reasonable price. I am running it a Mid motor 2wd offroad buggy Hot bodies d216 and it has the power I could ever need and plenty enough speed to keep my car pointed where I want it. Awesome servo.. this may be all I run in my cars and trucks from now on... WOW! it draws some some power, so run a glitch buster/ voltage protector/ RX capacitor if you are having brownout issues.

Very fast, well made servo, comes with a wonderful sticker set to enhance the looks for your RC vehicle or aircraft. Zero slop on the ones I've ordered, and don't buzz to much vs others I've used. (this is normal when connected to a HH gyro running at a high gain and because they constantly keep position. So all and all, I think these are some of the best servos on the market, even at the low price.

Works good in a traxxas slash 2wd. Much faster than stock. It doesnt seem to fit at first, but i got all 4 screws in with no isues. Has been in the truck for about 5 hours of run time. Jumps, hard crashes, etc. Would highly recommend this servo if/when the stock one goes out

I bought an SC10b and though I loved the buggy the one thing that I found I needed to change immediately was the servo. Stock vs the Savöx SC-1258TG is night and day. What a difference!!! Nice and responsive. If I were to take a star away it would be because of the sound. Dam this thing is loud. Note: For the SC10B you can use the "F" servo horn that's attached to the stock servo. It is tight, but it fits.

If you are looking to get more control out of your rc car this is definitely a must. You will be shocked how fast this servo is if you've been using a RTR or a standard high speed servo. I run this servo on all 3 of my vehicles and I have never experienced any type of failure.
