The frames are of a wood composite, intact and no scratches. The backer panel does curve at the edges, but you can figure out a way to insert a shim since there is space. These frames seem to be cut for using real glass. I inserted some precut glass from other frames, and it took up the slack. I can't comment on the "plexiglass" since I don't use it. I am displaying 13 x 19 photos printed at home on matte paper. I don't like any reflections. I know the prints will deteriorate over time, but I can reprint them. If I had "fine art" then I'd go into my stash of unused pre-cut glass from other frames and do it right. I have ordered more. I can't beat the price for simple black "wood" frames.

I was gonna rate 2 stars but like half of the 1-star reviewers are complaining about the "blue tint" of the plastic wrap they didn't realize is supposed to be peeled off. So I'll bump it up a little.You pay for what you get. $9 a frame is good if you're on a steep budget, or if you're a college freshman decking out your dorm. $9 is good if the art inside also costed $9. But you are paying for cheap frames.No matter what you do, the picture will not be pushed flat to the front of the frame. All of my arts slightly arc outwards in the corners. There is just too much gap in how you lock in the back plate, it is not sturdy at all.Massive glare with their plastic front glaze. Seriously it is like a mirror. I am upset they put "anti-glare" in the description, I know it is subjective but they knowingly lied about this. The glare is very warped too.

The frame dimensions and overlap to the print were just right.

I purchased these for some star wars paintings and they look awesome on these frames.

The frame itself looks nice but don't be fooled. The hinge locks on the back are laughably weak and snapped off almost immediately. They have almost no support which leaves you with a frame that can't hold anything together.

Nice frames, don’t feel cheap.

The frame is fine, a little flimsy, but looks good. I didn't read the info carefully and the frame comes with plastic not glass.
