My husband and I love pie and I have needed one of these for quite some time. They work wonderfully and are much easier than dealing with beans.

Having only ever used rice to blind bake, thought I'd take the easier-to-deploy route of a pie chain. For a basic 9" pie, this was wholly inadequate. The chain weighed down the crust but only covered maybe <50% of it. So 50% of the crust rose between the coils of chain. Made for a very questionable, low-volume pie. I can either go back to rice, or order 3 more pie chains so they'll actually cover the crust and work. And rice, though I spill it everywhere, is cheaper.

One set is not enough to weight a pie. This is very light and not long enough to cover the bottom of the pie shell.

These are not long enough to cover the bottom of the pie shell and they are not heavy enough either. Even though I pierced the bottom and sides of the pie shell it still bubbled up where there were no beads.

As expected, could be 20 inches longer but works as is.

Ok product. Wish they were longer and heavier. Would probably need 2 for bigger pies.
