GoPro HERO Extended Battery Pack 4000mAh
I thought I'd title this with the product, since all these reviews are jumbled and convoluted, this page apparently being for 3 different products. Anyway, on to the review! While this is a decent battery, it could definitely use some work.I purchased this after having ordered a similar product from Wasabi because this product claimed to have nearly double the capacity (4000mAh vs. 2500mAh) for the same low price. I received both on the same day and immediately began testing to see which was truly superior. The claim of this battery pack being "4000mAh" seems a little sketchy to me, seeing as it is nearly identical in size and weight to Wasabi's 2500mAh battery.I've tested each extended battery and immediately had problems with this LimeFuel battery pack. I charged both, my GoPro and this battery to 100% before beginning. As per instructions from LimeFuel tech support, I began recording with the extended battery powered on from the get-go. I recorded at 1080p (30fps).The branding on LimeFuel's product claims "5-8 hours of filming" while Wasabi's only claims 4 hours.Well, I managed to record for 4 hours before my GoPro beeped, announcing it was powering down due to low battery. Disappointed, I went to remove the battery pack and accidentally pressed the power button and surprisingly it powered on, the LED still green, so I restarted the GoPro and began recording once more. I was only able to squeeze another hour of recording before my GoPro beeped once again and powered off. Technically, I did get the minimum of 5 hours claimed, even though it was interrupted. My disappointment is with this: When testing Wasabi's "inferior" (by means of capacity) battery, I was able to get over 8.5 hours of filming with no interruptions. Wasabi claims a humble 4 hours from a 2500mAh product and delivers much more, whereas this "4000mAh" battery barely delivers their minimum claim and keep in mind that the 1080p (30fps) filming mode is the least power-consuming.I am testing this battery again to see if I get any different results & will update. Now, let's move onto the physical product, itself. All that was only my assessment of performance. This battery charges using a side-mounted micro-USB plug, which is pretty good because this product allows for pass-through-charging, which means you can charge both, the pack and your camera at the same time using this port. That's probably the only positive thing about this battery pack.It powers on using a touch sensitive "button" which means if you plan on carrying a couple of extras with you, you have to be careful not to power it on while in your pocket or bag. There is also no external means to power this on through the case, meaning you have to power it on before closing the back of the camera. This can be a problem if your in wet conditions. If you didn't power it on beforehand, you must risk jeopardizing the waterproof case to do so.This pack also has only one small LED light which is supposed to indicate how much charge is left by changing from green to orange to red. This is not efficient by any means. Finally, the pack blocks the rear LED indicator on the GoPro.I point out these mistakes, in my opinion, that LimeFuel made because these are all the things that Wasabi got right. Wasabi's product has a physical button and the included waterproof backdoor has a button not unlike the existing buttons on your GoPro to allow it to be powered on while fully submerged. Wasabi's product also has 4 LEDs to indicate the charge level of their pack and it has a small indicator window, allowing the rear indicator light on the GoPro to be clearly seen even while the pack is mounted. In my opinion, Wasabi's 2500mAh extended battery is a much better buy. Once I test this battery again, I may feel a little differently, assuming I get better performance results but we will see. Wasabi Power Extended Battery for GoPro HERO

4k resolution and 15fps i got an easy 6. 5 hours of run time
This is go pros simple solution to correcting their battery issues. I have tested this battery a few times. This battery runs off the standard go pro battery, once that dies it then turns to this extended battery. On 1080 60fps I ran over 8 hours record time with this battery. 4k resolution and 15fps i got an easy 6.5 hours of run time. The 2 cases that come with are a nice feature. One did not fit my battery or case at all, the other fits perfect. I have no tested its waterproofness. I mainly kayak fish and like to make videos for youtube.Ill never miss that big (or little) fish again

Great battery life but a poor fit
The battery life is crazy, but it doesn't fit my Gopro correctly. When I have it in the case I have to put a folded up piece of paper behind the battery so that it will squeeze the battery up against the Gopro or it wont work. The results in the seal around my Gopro being less than comforting when using it on fishing trips. Also, when I want to charge the battery pack I have to wrap string around the battery pack and my Gopro to squeeze the battery pack up against the Gopro or else it will not charge. When it works the battery life is great, but it can be quite a pain to get it to work. If I could do it over, I would have gotten a different battery pack

Was delighted to find this battery for my go pro hero
Was delighted to find this battery for my go pro hero. We strap it to the front of the ATV when we're riding up in the mountains. The battery note can outlast us. The only drawback is, because of the new back this product requires, there is no longer a blinking light indicator to let us know the camera is running. Well pleased with it regardless.

This would have been 4 stars....
I was really excited to receive this product for my Hero but once I got it i was pretty disappointed. First install it was already wobbly being attached to the back of the camera. Build seemed sketchy since you can see the flaps. What really upset me was that although the pack does come with the external back door, it's only the water proof one and it totally blocks out any sound of what I'm recording out. I do a lot more things out of water than in so that was a big thumbs down there. If they had the option of sending out a vented back door with openings this rating would have been 4 stars since the battery does what it needs to do technically, just that one gripe I have with it.

This product is very much needed if you have a Gopro. The batteries don't last that long if you are recording in high resolution. These have always come in handy for us. I have used these several times and have come in handy. I think these hold the same charge as the gopro battery.

Housing is not waterproof!
I bought Limefuel Epic L40G4 for my Go Pro Hero4. It comes with 2 back housings: 40 Meter and 60 Meter as said in insert compatible with GoPro Hero4. It also says "Waterproof up to 60 meters"!My first issue was that one of the housings- bigger does not fit my Go Pro Hero4. It is too big.Second issue is that another housing-smaller is leaking water. I am guessing it is 40M as there are no indications. I took for a dive trip and around 10M or 30Ft I noticed it started to leak saltwater. Not something I wanted or expected. I shut off the camera and continued my dive. Later on the surface I applied silicon grease to the o-ring. Well, during my next dive I had the same issue from the very beginning. It flooded again with saltwater enough to be concerned about my Hero4 camera. I guess I was lucky that it did not destroy my camera. It is too late to return my battery with housings so I will need to bring up the issue with Limefuel. Next day I placed back original Hero4 back housing and it all went good for my dives near of 100ft.As far as battery goes- it does provide more juice as advertised but housings are totally useless in my case.
