I was totally skeptical. I've heard about silk pillows keeping hair from getting frizzy but I didn't think it would really do much for me. I have thick, wavy blonde hair (thanks Grandma!) that gets frizzy with the least amount of moisture in the air, or just if I brush it when its dry. I use a lot of smoothing products to keep it under control but still need to flat iron or curl it is Its going to look smooth. But honestly I don't like to damage my hair by over styling and yet still want nice looking hair. I use high end shampoo and conditioner too but even those don't really tame the frizzies. Then I bought these pillow cases because they were pure silk, reviews looked pretty good and the cost was worth the try. I've had them for a month now and wont sleep with anything else under my head. I recently went to Europe for two weeks and brought it with me to use on all the pillows I had at the different air bnb's. Thank goodness because the sheets were not the best quality and it was so nice to not have scratchy cotton on my face. The gray is a perfect soft tone with my modern bedding, they are smooth and soft without being slippery like the satin pillow sheet set I had in my 20's that I thought would be cool... it wasn't. The zipper just disappears and keeps the pillow snuggly contained. (see my video attached) The silk doesn't feel cool or hot, it just 'is'. The most amazing part is the first morning I woke up my hair looked way smoother. I thought it was just the conditioner I had put on it. The next few days I noticed my hair being way less frizzy in general. I thought again, coincidence... maybe the weather is just cooperating? but even so, my hair was smoother than it usually was. OK, no smoothing products test.... and still my hair was like a normal persons (whatever that means!). All I can say is, somehow it works! Its been a month and my hair has consistently looked and felt better since the day I started using the silk pillow case. I'm finally a believer. I wish I had bought one years ago! The JiangJue price is fantastic for one let alone a set of two. I wash it by hand in my sink, hang it to dry in the shower and its dry within a few hours. I hope it works for you the way it has for my (used to be) poofy, frizzy hair.

No pun intended, but the difference was like night and day! We traveled recently and did not take our pillow covers and in the morning our hair looked hysterically manic! It was as if the 10 months of using the covers hit us back with 10 months worth of bedhead. In general silk pillowcases feel cool to the skin and are good for the hair. As for this brand, I can't guarantee the "mulberry" silk claim, but the fabric, seams and zippers have held up perfectly to 10 months of use (minus one night) and regular hand washing and line drying with Nellie's powder detergent. I don't even mean "for the price". These are great quality at a reasonable price and better than the "satin" ones I've seen in retail beauty stores. We are considering buying again for gifts to the males in our circle. Also, we have cervical pillows that are on the fuller side and they fit perfectly once through the zipper opening.

I think like everyone else, I was really skeptical that 2 mulberry silk pillow cases would cost $28. When I say I spent the ENTIRE DAY "researching" amazons plethora of silk vs satin vs bamboo vs..vs..vs.. pillowcases- digging through comments, customer questions, and everything else- I STILL didn't trust these were real(or any product under $30 for 1 case, really). In the end I bought them anyway for a few reasons: price- duh, the color looked closest to a cream, it had a sheen in the pictures-but wasn't shiny, and it had a zipper. I honestly don't know how anyone is combating the fact that these are real silk- and yes I own other silk(btw..what a bougie thing to say). The color is beautiful, exactly as pictured on the site, the cases aren't floppy and huge, they fit nice and snug to my down king size pillow, which makes for a much cleaner look. It has an invisible zipper, which is super discrete- but also never snags when zipping/unzipping. This product really is amazing quality! My boyfriend has been referring to our bedroom as a palace ever since they arrived-needless to say he's a fan(his only complaint is I didn't buy sheets too!). Im so glad I gave this brand a chance, they are MORE than worth the price. No, I don't have the other 100 silk pillowcases that are all over amazon- so I cant say there isn't another gem out there, BUT I can say this truly is a gem. so if you're diggin through comments like I was- stoooppp. Get these and spend your day doing something fun- you deserve it ;).

These are decent for the money. I have used mulberry silk cases before, and these are inferior. They feel like satin. They are hot to sleep on.

these pillowcases are great and pure white as shown. they seriously never get wrinkled, even straight out of the wash when everything is normally crumpled together. it holds its shape and air dries extremely fast! i think i recall them being real silk (i got these like almost a year ago) so they’re super soft and comfy. great if you’re looking for a silk pillowcase for your hair :) the zipper closure is really satisfying and makes everything more sleek. i would say they fit pretty well; one of my pillows is kind of thick and bigger than normal, but it still fits inside if you use the right technique so you don’t accidentally rip anything. these pillowcases seriously look as nice as the day i first bought them and i can’t imagine them every looking raggedy or worn like others i’ve tried. just make sure you follow the washing instructions carefully to keep them in the best shape!

I read reviews claiming they aren’t real silk. I don’t know how they know that. They feel like silk. I wanted to get pillowcases that would not tie my hair in knots. These work. All my life I have gone for pure cotton and all my life my hair has been in a tangled mess and I would have to cut it off to take care of it. My hair no longer gets tangled while I sleep. It’s a blinking miracle I tell you. My hair is now grown down past my shoulders. I love these pillow cases. The price is good. The pillow case feels good against my face. So whether they are silk or not, they are the only pillow cases I want to rest my head on at night. 5 stars for tangle free hair.

False advertising, false item

Since using these 100% Mulberry Silk Pillowcases, I have noticed such an improvement in my skin and hair - no more break outs on the side of my face that I sleep on, and my hair does require as much time to touch up in the morning. They feel so soft to sleep on and wash well. Fits great over standard pillows.
