It is always useful to have a handy gadget to make holes in things. The one I had before was one of those old style jobs that was mains powered and needed a chuck key to change the drill bit and only operated at one speed that was fast and sparks flew out of the side if you pushed too hard or tried to drill directly into brick. It finally gave up the ghost when I pushed it a bit too hard and that drill bit snapped and the chuck key was so worn that I could not remove the shaft of drill bit left in the nozzle (nozzle might not be the correct technical term here). I decided to invest in a replacement machine that has been designed in the current century. Orange is my favourite colour so I was immediately attracted to this little number. The Terratek 13Pc Cordless Drill Driver 18V/20V-Max Li-Ion Combi Drill is a reasonable price, at least compared to market leader Bosch that is around three times more expensive or the De Walt professional range which is around ten time the price of this. When you consider how many holes you want to drill and then work out the price per hole, unless you are putting holes in things for a living then it is hard to justify anything but the budget product such as this. I like the fact that this has an LED light at the front that illuminates the area that you are drilling, although I cannot imagine why anyone would want to drill holes in the dark. It has a forward and reverse setting that is useful but you have to make sure you know which is which (clockwise for drilling in, anticlockwise to coming out again). There is a nifty control that shows what speed you are drilling for 1 to 10 that looks the part, however this drill has a variable speed motor and the pressure on the drill trigger determines the amount of torque (technical term for rotational force). This drill is absolutely fine for drilling into wood, plasterboard or plastic. I would not want to try it on anything more challenging such as metal or concrete though. It also comes with screw driver bits and is ideal for use as an electronic screwdriver, and by that I mean a plain standard electronic screw driver not the Dr Who variety and I cannot imagine that this would be a suitable tool to mend the warp drive on a Tardis. It is made in China and comes in a fairly flimsy plastic case that is difficult to click back together once it has been opened for the first time. I am not complaining too much though. After all it is cheap. And it is orange.

This was a replacement for an old early version when the battery had died. This much lighter and smaller but just as powerful. Good price. Cheaper than a replacement battery for the old drill. Does all the DIY tasks I've tried so far. I have a corded drill for more demanding drilling so a good, cost effective combination.

i used this to put up a ceiling fan & light, easy to handle & the light was great as i had the mains power off, it effortlessly screws in screws that i couldnt turn by hand no more, i had to use 6 screws as there was no joists nearby and a week later its still up and stable even on full speed, i used a hammer to knock in the wall plugs as i needed them to be in very tight and this drill/driver had no problem screwing in those very tight screws. i would of never been able to do this job without this drill, this drill performed great and was well worth the money i payed for it.

I really like this drill/driver. At first I was shocked by it's small size but it's been able to deal with every job I've used it for so far and just yesterday I plugged it in to recharge the battery for the first time so battery life is excellent at the moment. I would only use this for very light drilling jobs; I don't think it would cope with drilling into brick or concrete for example but I've drilled wood and plastic with it to good effect and it's an excellent driver.

The drill is brilliant and totally good value for money. I use it around the house all the time. If you are a pro builder- you'll want something more but for DIY it is 100%. The drill bits and screwdriver heads are not pro quality but are fine for light tasks! The only thing that resembles a complaint is that- you have to remove the battery in order to put it back in the case supplied.

I've had one before but lost charger but as I know it's quite a powerful little drill I've re ordered this one. Not a hammer drill but ok for walls if you go easy with decent drill bit. Excellent screwdriver that holds charge well and personally I don't see the point paying massive money for a top end drill unless you needed that for construction work. For basic drilling and screwdriver use this is a really handy little drill to have.

I purchased this in 2020 and have charged it about 3 times to full, using it dozens of times over 3 years. The battery life was immense, and it comes with a good range of drill bits though cheap quality (they will wear) to take care of mose layman DIY projects - hanging up mirrors, photo frames, putting together flatpack furniture, etc. This is too weak to drill brick or anything thicker than plasterboard. Also, it just randomly died and refuses to work now after 3 years, so loses marks for longevity. Only a £10 more for a bigger brand drill that has hammer drill (for masonry, brick, metal drilling), so I'd only recommend this if you don't intend to use it much and only need to drill basic things.

I had bought this cordless drill when I moved, because I knew I will be setting up several IKEA furniture. Battery charging is easy, just plug the wall charger to the battery itself, and there is a light indicator to show when the charging is completed. I charged the battery the night before, and used it to install an IKEA double bed, sofa bed, a table with 4 chairs, and the battery lasted for the whole day of installation. The drill have good torque, and the speed could be adjusted easily, so you could moderate the speed of the tightening, and not mess up the screws. I did take one star off because the attachment that came with the drill were rather soft, and definitely could not last the installation. Also, the sizes were a bit limited. Thankfully, I had read the reviews before and also purchased a several set of drill attachments. I am not sure if it can actually drill into hard concrete though, just felt a bit lightweight for it. But I have a corded drill for that purpose, and I can't fault this drill for it. As a cordless drill, I think it is well worth the money, light yet powerful enough for most DIY installations.
