THE BEST!!!!! Those who rate this product low don't know how to apply. I've been using this product for over 20 years - long before there existed an Amazon to buy it on. You apply one layer, keep your lips apart for a good five minutes, don't lick your lips till it has totally dried. and it keeps your lipstick in place all day. Even after drinking out of a drink cup or eating (if you eat carefully!). I started using it long before I had deep wrinkles around my mouth. At my current age, if I only applied lipstick, the lipstick would crawl into my "mouth wrinkles" in no time. So...I apply a lip liner, then lipstick - including glossy lipstick - then apply one coat of Lip Chic, let it dry 5 mins and I'm good .... all day long. Yes, it kind of tingles or burns when first applied... but it does NOT dry out your lips or have any other adverse effects. Absolutely the best lipstick sealer in existence!!!!

The description says it wont work over gloss lipsticks. They fail to mention it does not work over frosted lipstick either. I tried one coat one day, two the next, 3 the next & 4 the next. It immediately peels off & looks like I have a disease. I then have to finish peeling the rest of the flakes off my lips. Maybelline 24\7 lip color works better, since this only covers on flat lipstick, I may as well keep using the Maybelline, as it stays on all day & has a gloss that goes over it to make lips shiny...all in one tube. I only wanted something to cover my favorite frosted lipstick to keep off drinking glasses, Grandbabies, etc.

This lipstick lasts a long time and doesn't wear off easily, even after several hours. It applies easily, the color stays true, and it feels comfortable on the lips. It's definitely a product that delivers on its promises.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well this works. I woke up this morning and my lipstick was mostly still there from the night before.

pros:--- it stays on quite a long time as long as you don't eat anything oily. keeps it's color, gets slightly darker if you use the gloss by the same company. However I do not use the gloss for reason below . You can give hugs or occasional quick kisses without it coming off on clothes or others cons: It can get to drying, however using a moisturizer & letting it dry can be affective in combatting this. From my past history of using this the company they did make a special moisturizer to go under and a gloss to go over. The gloss is a nice thought but product comes off faster if you use it which defeat my purpose so I slightly use chap stick by Avon I've used it under and over it at times if its too dry instead. Still it may come off faster but not as fast as the gloss. Peeling? Another thing is the first time or two you use this due to the ingredients with most sealers your lips after applying everything may peel like an exfoliant- this is fine and normal as long as you put it on when you first get it or when your not going out using it at home 1st. I Just wipe it off re-apply & usually it will not do this again after the first two times sometimes just once is good then your good for over a month or two . People ask does it burn? I've found it can-- if you have cracked lips. Remember there is alcohol in it you can smell it but it dissipates after it dries. I think hence the burn. Most of the time it will tingle- again due to the ingredients that make the lip chic work to keep your color on this is expected. When I apply there usually is a tingling and I'm good as long as my lips don't have cracking. for me I use this When going out but not as a daily because for me my lips can become too dry unless I use a moisturizer . 4 stars due to I don't like the smell and it comes off with any oily foods this is a pro and a con for me but overall I like it and will continue using it .

I received as a gift about two years ago a product called Lip Chic. It was a fabulous product. I couldn't find Lip Chic in the bottle online that matched the one I had received as a gift. This product had the same name and the same type of bottle, but the formula was different. With this product, be very careful about the amount you use. Let it dry completely, and under no circumstances move your mouth. At times, the product would peel off and I mean literally peel. This product is effective if you use exactly the right amount. Also, I discovered that if you put it on the outer rim of your lip, being careful not to go outside of the lip line, it will keep your lip liner/lip gloss from bleeding. It's imperative you let it dry completely, and don't use too much.

I love bright lips and unique lining with my lip colors. This seals it in, and it does not come off until you are ready. For best results follow the directions. Also, make sure your lipstick is set in place. It just helps a lot the product to work efficiently.

I was looking for She lac by Benefit, but since it's been discontinued I thought I'd try another product. This one SUCKED!! You put it on and it does the tingle thing... and shortly after that you find that your lipstick has mostly melted off. What hasn't melted off will come off with a couple of touches to the lips. Furthermore, if you have sensitive lips, DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT, I'm currently suffering with multiple burn bumps as a reaction to this product. My lips are sensitive to heat and sun exposure normally, so I'm thinking whatever it is in the product that makes it "tingle" also caused a reaction on my lips. Not sure if this happens to everyone, or just people with sensitive lips. Anyway, I do NOT recommend this product even in the slightest. If I could give a lower score I would. Complete waste of money.

I will definitely reorder. Directions say to be generous but it works with one coat for me. Just be sure to let it dry, which don’t take too long.

Doesn’t work. It just peeled off and cracked.

Works really well! Just let your lipstick dry then put a coat on, let that dry and you're good to go!

Burns like a mofo when applied. Wiped it right off.

Maybe a couple more minutes of last longer. Mostly just really dry
