Nice quality & slows down our dog’s drinking down enough he won’t throw up!

Its a great product and fantastic design. It performs its function, there's no water residue on my floor from underneath the bowl. That was my original problem and what I sought to fix by buying this. It isn't the manufacturer's fault, but this wont stop your dog's muzzle from dripping water onto your floor. It does reduce it measurably enough to be worth the money. Overall, I'm happy. Its an aesthetic design, it's easy to carry and transport, and the concept is very smart. it just needs a 2.0 edition. FOR PEOPLE WITH SMART DOGS- oh man, good luck. My only problem with the product is that the top rim is only held down by four small plastic pop-tabs. It pops off very easily, and shouldnt come off with so little effort. To be fair, when I read other reviews by people with smarter dog breeds, I knew this water bowl was going to become another toy. My heeler pops the rim off the top and runs around with it. I'm counting down the days until he pops the rim off and then flips the whole bowl and level like the other reviewers mentioned. Reinforcing that pop-rim would be great for more intelligent troublemakers. It is easy to clean, also. There's a normal water bowl slime, but that's life.

TL;DR - The water bowl is excellent: durable, affordable, effective, easy to clean and use. The customer service team is dedicated. I’ll be buying more of these as gifts for my many dog owner friends. ———————-////—————— I got this dog bowl because I have a narrow kitchen & any bit of water is a slippery hazard; I hated constantly having to change a mat or a towel because it’s a high traffic area, prone to cooking messes, mud/dirt, and water. The water bowl works exactly as I’d hoped. The plastic ring keeps the floating disc securely in place, and the disc helps keep out random debris that would make the water dirty in a regular wide, open bowl. When the bowl is full of water, it’s heavy enough that my husky puppy has yet to spill it (she likes to put her paws into the bowls from which she eats/drinks) and I’ve had this product for a month now (spilled water bowl was an almost daily occurrence). The floating disc didn’t take much for my puppy to figure out. I filled up the water a little more than max capacity, so that the water pooled at the top of the disc. The puppy started drinking and continued to drink. I haven’t noticed that the disc it’s too hard to press down or the bowl is confusing for a dog to figure out. I was initially concerned about the material being plastic based; I have had bad experiences in the past with my animals (dogs & cats) developing health problems due to allergies to some plastic products. After a month of use, not a single adverse reaction! The material used is high quality and safe, which was my biggest worry before buying the product. Overall, this is a nifty little solution to the problem of water bowl messes, and the company offers a product at a price that makes it accessible to people on a budget. I love the product, and will definitely be buying another water bowl, if not more—I know lots of dogs who made Santa’s “Good Dog” list :) **Additionally, the customer support staff is wonderful & followed up with me after my purchase to ensure the product was working, dog figured it out, etc. For my response to their check in email, they mailed me a surprise holiday gift (portable, collapsible silicone food & water trays) of another great product. The travel bowl is silicone is dishwasher safe and high quality; I took it camping with me and it worked out perfect through all the hiking. Great service and great product!

We just ordered this as a replacement for our first LumoLeaf water bowl because it works so well! If you’re looking for a NON-SPILL BOWL for TRAVEL, this is it. We originally purchased it because we were long haul truckers (driving 24/7) and it rarely, if ever spilled over. After about 3 years the sides started to wear so the top wasn’t staying securely. Time for a new one! CLEANING: the only downfall. It does require a cleaning fairly often because of saliva and dirt (we do about 1x week if daily use) and the center portion is a little challenging to pull apart. However, overall we believe this has been a purchase well worth the spend.

I bought this bowl to solve 2 problems. 1) To keep my dogs from drinking too fast. 2) To keep my kitchen from getting soaked from water pouring out of theirs mouths. To be fair to LumoLeaf, it did solve those 2 problems. In fact it's really great in that aspect... BUT....... this bowl is made of plastic and it promotes bacteria and rotting. If I didn't take it apart and wash it with dish soap at least every other night, it rotted. And when I say rotted, it seriously smelled horrible and rotten. Now I do have 2 large dogs that drink a lot and the bowl is by a patio door and sits in the sun.(the sunlight may play a roll). I tried rinsing it with hot water daily without taking it apart and that didn't really do the trick. The problem with this bowl is that when dogs lick the floater to get water, their saliva and bacteria get underneath the floater. This is where the dreaded slime "biofilm" collects. In a normal water bowl this slime is more dispersed and aerated. (I understand that all bowls should be washed regularly because of biofilm). Anyway it collects there and rots. This bowl is also not easy to wash which leads us to the next problem. The floater is hard to take apart and put back together. And it definitely needs to be taken apart to clean because no matter how well you put it back together, water gets inside (and that's gross). Maybe this bowl would work better if it were stainless steel and the floater was one piece that couldn't get water inside. While this bowl did solve my problems it became too much of a hassle and possible health risk to my dogs. I purchased a Torus water bowl with a filter to replace it. Fingers crossed that bowl actually works for me.

I bought this water bowl to take with us when we go camping with the dogs. I was hoping it would keep leaves and sticks and extra dirt out of their water and I’m sure it will work great for that. We have a basset hound and this has been amazing to keep her ears out of the water bowl. She can get a drink and not mop the floor at the same time now lol. The kids can also fill up this water bowl and not spill it as they walk back to put it down. This thing actually works and keeps all the water in the bowl. I wish we bought it sooner. Video with a shake test to prove it doesn’t spill!

No more spilling their water. I have 2 puppies that would constantly spill their water bowl. They started to drink from it immediately like they had always used it. I do have to fill it a few times a day but that will keep it from having stagnant water in it.

Cuando el nivel de agua empieza a bajar, no se hunde el protector, el perro lo tiene que aplastar para llegar al agua. Pero aprenden relativamente rápido. Una de mis perritas acostumbraba salpicar mientras tomaba y meter todo el hocico, lo que hacía que escurriera todo el piso cuando terminaba; y ya quedó solucionado con ese cuenco. Compraré otro para el piso de arriba.

I have only had this about a week, but it already appears to have thwarted by cavoodle's fav hobby of digging and splashing in his water bowl any time it is refilled, which is exactly why I got it. He is happy to drink out of it and I am happy to not be mopping up water all the time!
