are the fittings capped so i can install a toilet riser underneath?

The mounting hole of the toilet seat includes a cap. It can be fitted with a raised toilet seat as long as the screws of your raised toilet seat can pass through the mounting holes in our toilet seat. The mounting holes are 3/8 inches wide. Are the hinges metal or plastic?

The hinges are plastic with plastic easy to use bolts. Not built real stout. Nice butt not the strongest.

How comfortable is the back if you have to lean against it?

I only leaned on it for a few seconds, but I don't remember it being uncomfortable. I have the slow-close seat.

How do you get the rubber nuts into the holes on the toilet? I can’t get them in. The instructions for method one are no help at all.

Insert the rubber nut into the mounting hole with the bolt (the metal bolt will make the rubber nut easier to fit into the mounting hole).
