Is the timer just an "auto-off" timer, or can you set it to turn on at a certain time as well?

Thank you for your inquiry. This unit has a timer function that will let you set the unit to run for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. However, you cannot program a schedule for this unit. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.

Does it use a lot of electricity?

yes, a lot. 900W for the low setting and 1500W for high. So if you pay about 12c / KWh, it cost between 11c-18c per hour. All electric heaters pretty much use the same amount of power though.

Does the fan turn on & off as the heating element turns on & off? Or does the fan keep running consistently?

We will be happy to answer your question. The fan will turn off a few seconds after the heating element turns off to continue moving all of the hot air out of the unit. It will then turn back on at the same time as the heating element. If you have any other questions, please reach out to us directly. Our email and phone number can be found in your Owner’s Manual or on our website.

Is this unit teflon free?

We will be happy to provide that information. This Ceramic heater does have Teflon on the heating element. If you have any other questions or need assistance, please email our support team at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com and we will be happy to assist you.
