I emailed the seller via Amazon "contact the seller" link. The response to your and my question is, "1/8 to 1/4 cup to start and if a more aromatic session is preferred, add a little more." I think it also depends how much water in the foot bath. But from 1/8 to 1/4 to 1/2 should be adequate for most foot bath units. Start low and experiment a little.

The package says for use in the bath, foot bath or shower. I use it in my foot bath so can offer little more than that.
