Love my Whirley Pop, bought my first one at Habitat on Tottenham Court Road while at Uni. in ‘98 and it’s lasted me all these years. Only had to patch up/glue the cog once in that time as it’s a transition fit that wears over time, but put simply, this is the best way to make popcorn at home. Get the right oil and flavouring and you’ve got that cinema experience. Or get all gourmet and creative with recipes. Update: It's arrived! the cogs that drive it are now metal and pinned so even more well made than before. Here's to the next 25 years!

I’ve had one of these popcorn makers for many years. I love it. It really makes popcorn exactly like the ones in the movie theater do. It’s the same premise, it’s just that you do it on your stove top and you have to do the cranking. Anyhow, I recently bought this for one of my best friends for Christmas and she is absolutely delighted. She said it makes the best homemade popcorn yet! It heats up very quickly and your popcorn is done within two minutes. Also, this pan you don’t wash every time you use this. You take it apart and wipe it down with paper towels because they say the inside gets seasoned and you’re not really supposed to be washing it. They are right when they say that because really does end up making popcorn that taste delicious! You can buy pre-measured packets from the same company with different flavors. So far the only one that I’ve ever bought is the movie theater popcorn one. It’s delicious. They are kind of expensive for these kits, but worth it because I don’t eat popcorn every single day and a five pack of the popcorn kits last me for a couple of months anyway. You can also use your own popcorn and oil and still have delicious popcorn. I have invested in butter flavored coconut oil and Flavocol popcorn salt, along with a jar of Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn. The results are very much like a movie theater.

Love it!! It’s made from very thin aluminium (the base and the top), however it feels very well made, I’m guessing the material is so thin to help pop the popcorn quicker. This will not work with an induction cooktop, however Makes amazing popcorn! 🍿😍

After using the stovetop method and a silicone microwaveable bowl for years, I bought this for my wife this Christmas. It works very well. Easy to clean, easy to use. The popcorn has an excellent texture, and when combined with some Flavacol it gives you the authentic movie theater popcorn you always want at home. Recipe: 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil 1/2-3/4 teaspoon Flavacol 1/2 cup of kernels 1. Heat the oil until it melts in the pan and covers the bottom 2. Add the flavacol salt / seasoning to the pan and swirl it around a bit to mix 3. Add the kernels (warm pan but not hot) and toss and swirl a bit to coat 4. Periodically swirl to keep coating the kernels until it starts popping ( a few minutes while it heats up ) 5. Once it starts popping, steadily swirl the popcorn until you encounter resistance, do not force the swirling handle. Done and delicious!

It is really easy to use and it makes the popcorn faster than a traditional pot. The spinner helps to keep the popcorn from burning on the bottom of the pan. The clean up is easy and most importantly my kids LOVE the taste of the popcorn made on this device. Fewer kernels go un-popped too. I highly recommend it.
