IAMS Proactive Health Urinary Tract Health Dry Cat Food, Chicken, 3.5 lb

A couple of my cats through the years have been Maine Coon's. If you know about this breed, you know that they can run into bladder and kidney problems from early on in their life. A few months back, a pair that I had adopted, one of them, being a Maine coon, start exhibiting some bladder crystal problems and this was confirmed by a vet visit. Shortly after adopting them at age 2, I changed them from the "Lives" Version that they had eaten for the first year of their life, and now over to IAMS, and all bladder issues have cleared up. They consistently eat this throughout the day, and I do give them some items, urinary formula, wet food in the evenings. Throughout the years, I have never had a bad items product and I've always had healthy cats. They love the flavor and it also works well in automatic feeders.

I have been feeding my "little girl" 😻 this food almost all of her life. (We rescued her at 11 months old). When she was less than a year old she had urinary issues and the vet suggested feeding her a urinary health food. I have been a loyal Iams customer for many, many years, so using this formula was not a problem for me. My kitty eats this with no problem. She never has turned her nose up at it, even when we first started feeding it to her. Since we started giving it to her, which has been 6 years now, she's only had a UTI one time. So I think that's a pretty good average. One person mentioned how it made their cat sick, I did buy one bag a few years ago that she absolutely would not eat. And I contacted Iams via email and told them the problem. I did not have the bag anymore because I always store the food in ice cream buckets, but I did happen to have the receipt. They had me email them a copy of the receipt and they emailed me a coupon for a new bag and I just threw away the food that she would not eat. They were very easy to deal with. I keep reading all this stuff about taurine now and how cats are dying because of kidney issues for lack of taurine, so that has been a big concern of mine lately. But upon more research, Iams cat food has the recommended dosage and it has not been "cooked out" of it as they say, so my kitty is getting the full benefits. And also another big benefit of this food is that it has a higher protein count than most other cat foods, including science diet and Royal cannin. I will continue to feed my kitty this food, as I have many cats in the past and heaven forbid when something happens to her, any future cats I have.

I just love IAMS! I have been a loyal IAMS customer for years. I switched to their food because I was using Purina and it was making my Tortie urinate blood. So, under the guidance of our family vet, I was told to switch to the IAMS Urinary Tract Health dry food. I have since welcomed 3 more fur babies into our family and they all eat this IAMS product. All of my cats absolutely love this food and it is always fresh. I would say that the kibble is cat friendly and is a fairly small size, it is not too big for various sizes of cats. I love that the first ingredient is Chicken and the let you know that the food isn't all filling on the package. The packaging of the cat food is very strong and have never had issues with the bag tearing or ripping. The overall appearance of the food and packaging is very appealing to both my cats and myself. This particular size is such a great deal. You get so much food for a very fair price.

Decent option, but seems to crumble easier than other brands, and I was also disappointed to receive a bag that had an improper seal. Refund was no issue, of course, but I did have to make an extra trip to the store for a replacement.

My cats love this food and have been eating it for years. We used to have a problem with urinary tract infections. Since we started this food my cats have had NO INFECTIONS. I worry about my male cats due to the small size of their urethra and potential for a blockage leading to death. Every single cat over the past 10 years have been eating this food eagerly. It puts my mind at ease as well.

Cat likes it! Good kibble size. Seems to help with urinary tract issues for my feline.

This food along with Blisso Advanced Probiotic for Cats has worked wonders for my 15 year old Molly. Plus, Molly liked the taste upon 1st feeding.

Last year one of my cats was diagnosed with FLUTD. It took me a long time to find a dry cat food that all the cats in my home liked and was appropriate for the FLUTD cat. Iams urinary formula is the one LOVED by all my cats, both the healthy and sick ones. My cat with FLUTD has not been sick since eating this food. He's the fussiest of them all and he LOVES it. My boys eat this like it is candy so I actually feed it to them as a treat now instead of Temptations. They have another kind of food for their regular diet.
