Works really well with the Sorrel & Fern mobile I purchased for my son. It spins faster than a normal mobile, but he seems to really like that fact. The first one I received was missing the top loop but requesting a replacement was really easy and the new one arrived two days later. The remote is a nice feature so I don't have to worry about waking him up when I want to turn it off. The one downside is how long the motor is the arm that is for my mobile is not very tall so when he gets older I'll have to hang it from the ceiling so he can't grab it.

I need help with one unit not working correctly. Seems like the unit dies in 2-3 days. The 2nd unit is fine!! Can I send the one back or get a replacement? I use these in my bow window! Please advise before Christmas.. Need for my display!! Bob Davis

I gave it 4 stars because the remote is under-powered and I have to be about 3 feet from the spinner to activate it. Other than that it works good for my purposes. I have found that in order to use it outside, you have to weatherize it. If you rotate the top counter clockwise a half turn it will lift off (picture 1). carefully remove the two connectors from the PC board by pulling up gently with needle nose pliers. remove the three screws and then remove the PC board and motor. you may find rust on the Infrared receiver legs and the switch (picture 4). Clean it off, wash with alcohol and tape off the connectors and switch with painters tape. Spray the board on both sides with clear acrylic spray. Let dry. Put some grease around the shaft (Vaseline will work) right at where it comes out of the housing. Slide the motor back in and screw it down. Put a drop of WD40 on the switch and carefully slide the PC board back in. Then put the connectors back in with the short cable going to the connector right under the metal board holder an the long cable going to the connector near the battery compartment. Screw the top back on. On the bottom side, put clear Silicone sealant around the IR receiver and a little grease around the switch and motor shaft (picture 5). This should help seal out the moisture that kills the thing. I also put clear packing tape to seal the battery compartment and the top. Mine works great now.

This is NOT a good disco ball motor! At 10 RPM the spin rate is SO fast, the reflections off of a disco ball look absolutely awful! Its so fast, the 'spots' are more like 'lines' on your wall, ceiling, etc. There is no way to adjust the rotator speed - pass on this and get something with a slower RPM!

Looks ok. But remote doesn’t work. Turns on and off “magically”. We don’t ever know when it’s going to turn on or shut itself off. I’d pay a bit more and get a better one.

This is our second purchase! We ordered one for our baby’s nursery to hang a mobile and now that we have baby #2 on the way, we ordered a second one for our now toddler’s big boy room and new big boy mobile. We love the remote feature as we usually only turn on during naps. It spins pretty fast when first turned on but evens itself out and slows down to a nice speed quickly. Battery is included with remote. Batteries not included for motor. You will need two AA batteries.

Good product, does what's needed. It rotates until you turn it off. Motor is quiet and no music plays so you can play your own or watch TV while baby stares at his mobile. Has an on/off remote and on/off switch on the remote itself. I wish motor would turn off on its own after awhile incase I forgot instead of running the batteries down.

It was great for a couple weeks and then stopped working, I changed the batteries and nothing.

Works really well. It runs on 2 Double A batteries. I've had it running 24/7 for about 5 days now and it's still going. Very impressed with how quiet it is. Completely silent when in movement.

I had a bird cot mobile for my baby and wanted something to make it turn. This is perfect as it is low profile, makes zero noise and spins at the perfect speed for a mobile.
