Great bang for the buck!
I bought this 4 days ago for $75 shipped/sold by Amazon with Prime shipping. Which we all know isnโt really Prime because they screw us out of the 2 day shipping we paid for. At this time the price is $107 shipped/sold by another vendor. So I am reviewing this based on the $75 I paid. The packaging was terrible, who knows what Chinese diseases are harbored in that fabric, but it did an ok job of protecting the bar. The bar has scratches and scuff marks in the paint but for the price I can forgive that. The welds are just ok, I wouldnโt want to trust this bar with 1k lbs, but for me thatโs fine. Itโll never see more about 300 lbs since 1 rep maxโs arenโt my thing and my older joints donโt need that kind of abuse. There was a snap ring on one end that was missing and the label just fell off. Since this is a solid bar and there are no bearings in the ends the only thing the snap ring does is hold the sticker in place. So no big deal I guess. For an average person building a home gym (ours is a basement gym) that is looking to stay fit or do moderate strength training this bar will work. I bought it because I like to superset exercises, donโt like back squats, and barbell deadlifts are hard on my low back. This bar allows me to do deadlifts, squats, and farmer carry all with a single setup. This bar delivered what I wanted at a great price with decent quality so I am extremely happy with it. I wouldnโt be as happy at the regular price of $129 for it though, again, bang for buck I paid.

Does Everything Perfectly!
This bar is for sure one of my favorites, in terms of workout equipment. The quality is top-notch, with a sturdy and durable construction that gives me confidence during my lifts. This bar functions well and I always have a great workout when using it. The hex bar is just a game changer for me because of its versatility and dynamic range of uses. Whether I'm doing deadlifts, shrugs, or even bent-over rows, the hex bar is the way to go, with a comfortable and ergonomic grip, reducing strain on my back and allowing for a more natural range of motion. This has been especially beneficial for me as I work on improving my form and increasing my strength, the bar is also beyond perfect for doing explosive motions and strengthening your legs. Highly recommend this hex bar to anyone looking to enhance their workout regimen. whether you are a beginner or experienced this bar can still be used by both, Its quality, versatility, and ease of use make it a must-have for any home gym or professional training space!

Very pleased with my purchase
I'm 66 years old, and I've been lifting for over 50 years, and I hope to keep it up until they plant me. Deadlifts have been getting uncomfortable over the last few years, so I thought I'd try a trap bar, with the added benefit of it being a lot shorter than an Olympic bar, making it easier to use and store in a home gym. I've just finished my first workout the HulkFit trap bar, and it felt great. I bought the regular chrome model. I didn't use a whole lot of weight, because at my age you have to ease into any new exercise, but it's obvious that the bar is very sturdy, and will hold more weight than I'll ever use. The grips are knurled just right, so they help you grip it with sweaty hands without making you feel like you grabbed a cactus. Best of all, they are nearly a foot long, so you can move your grip forward or backward and move the center of gravity to just where you want it. Pros: - Fast (free) shipping. I ordered it the evening of October 1, they said it would get here October 4, which I doubted because of its weight. It actually arrived the morning of October 3. A day and a half, and I live in a very small town on the northern coast of Washington. - Very well packaged. Every inch of it was covered with sturdy cardboard. Then a blanket (seriously) around that. Then several layers of plastic wrap around that. Took me 15 minutes to cut all of that off of it. - Good size and weight. I'm 6'-2, 250 pounds, and over the years I've bought stuff where they must have used a munchkin in the picture to make the product look bigger. I was a little worried that my ass or knees would hit the bar going up or down. But it's perfect for me, plenty of room inside, and the handles are right where I want them. In case you don't know, it has two sets of handles. If you're using small plates and you don't want to bend too far over, you can use the upper handles, which are about six inches above the weight holders. If you're using large plates, you can flip the whole thing upside down and use the lower handles, which are flush with the weight holders. Note that the handles themselves don't move or adjust, everything is solidly welded on this bar. I guess if you're young and want to go super low, you can stand on a board. Cons: Really none so far. There were a couple of nicks, but it's a deadlift bar, not a mirror, so who cares? For the price, especially including free shipping, I think it's a great value. About half a month's cable bill for a piece of equipment that will last a lifetime.

Solid Bar - Great Value
This is a great bar. With no plates its the perfect weight to do warm up sets. It takes a few reps to become accustomed to where to grip the bar such that it is balanced during the reps. It also takes a few workouts to become accustomed to the angle to use during the reps to hit your glutes/hamstrings or quadriceps, all the while relieving lower back stress. However, if you are concerned about spine compression from doing squats this bar is pretty good substitute. You will also feel it in shoulders, trapeziums, and arms, not just the legs. Note: Black finish comes off easily with metal pinch clamps...quick release clamps might be a better option. Also, consider the open back if you wish to do lunges. However its perfect for squats, deadlifts, rows, military press, etc.

GREAT GREAT BAR!
I am loving my new open hex bar!! DO NOT listen to any of the negative reviews for this particular bar - Iโm certainly glad I didnโt! This bar is awesome. Let me repeat- THIS BAR IS AWESOME! I get the impression that the black bars are in better condition than the silver ones. Let me start by saying that, no its not the top of the line as far as bars in general go, but thereโs absolutely nothing wrong with it considering itโs price-point of under $200. Iโm in the process of furnishing my home gym and have been doing a ton of research. Iโve bought equipment from many different companies lately. I recently saw a YouTube video with Simeon Panda and Ulisses World where they talked about the many benefits this type of bar. I immediately started searching for it. First off, not many companies make them and those that do have them priced at as high as $700 and as low as $400, so this was a steal! No, this bar doesnโt compare to the craftsmanship and materials of those more expensive bars but it does the same exact job. It says it will hold 1000 lbs, however, I look great, am in top shape and see no reason whatsoever to lift that much weight...ever! So, issues around the bar bending with insane amounts of weight on it is of no concern to me. I will never put upwards of 7 plates on each side. If this is you, my advice would be to spend the $700 on the top of the line bar, but for the average to the above average lifter this bar is all you need. Contrary to other bad reviews for this bar, it had no bends, scratches or rust! The bar was shiny black. See my pictures and video for proof. It also arrived in three days! The wrapping was maintained as best as possible given the size and shape of the bar. Iโm sure the paint will at some point chip, but thatโs expected with regular use. The knurling was perfect. Not rough at all. Zero sharp nicks in it that could potentially cut you. I can see me having this bar for years to come (possibly the rest of my life). The bar is like night and day from what I read from some buyers here. This is your sign to BUY IT!! Update: check the Bars of Steel website. They have one the same price that stands up for easy loading, but with shorter sleeves if less weight and the convenience of it standing up appeals to you. It also weighs less at 47 lbs and the sleeves rotate. Had I seen it first I probably would gave purchased it instead.

A piece of gym eqipment everyone should be using
Let me say that my HEX BAR arrived with a small chip on the end of it but it was packaged well and wrapped in a cloth too my UPS guy is just a douche and throws everything instead of treating it with respect. That being said, I have had 300lbs on this bar and have had no issues yet I would do more weight but all I have is 300lbs so I can't tell you if it really hold 1k in weight maybe one day I will get there lol. For me I love the bar its nice an solid and has the weight behind it that you would expect it too. The only thing I wish is that the gripping that is carved into the handle was sharper so it grabbed the meat of my hands because once you are sweating heavy for me my palms kept want to slide on the handles rather than stay gripped in place, this isn't a issue once I put my Harbinger gloves on. With the sharpness of the grips smoothed down though my wife enjoys it over my other bars when she uses it because it isn't so brutal on her hands so the ladies may find this preferential. All in all it seems like it is built solid and has no flaws other than the chip my package tossing UPS guy put in it, very impressed with the quality at the price point, If I can scrounge the money up in the future I would definitely be looking into more of there products like a Power cage or something else that is heavy duty. As a foot note I purchased the one that was painted black and it is a glossy black finish not a flat black finish.

Same bar you find at the gym. Actually,
It has been a while, before COVID, since I have done deadlifts. This bar is perfect for deadlifts, in case you don't know but you must if you are looking at this bar, because the weight distribution is more natural at the sides, not in front like with a regular bar. The risk to reward ratio with straight bar deadlifts is pretty bad. I have patients all the time with herniated discs from doing traditional deadlifts. But this bar is much, much safer and you get the same movement. This specific bar is just like the one at my gym, 24, but I think it actually might be a litle heavier, which is a good thing in my opinion. This bar is black, which I had forgotten until it arrived, but it arrived quickly and the seller was cool and sent me a personal message saying thanks. That's a nice touch. Must be a small business or something. If you are on the fence about this bar, just buy it. I am not gonna attach any pics, as it is exactly what you already know it is. I most likely bought this one for the price, but definitely this is well built and of no less quality than the ones at my gym. The raised handles on the side are a must for me, but I'm fifty and only deadlift about 200lbs. However, the raised handles mean you do not meed to bend over quite so much. That's huge, at least for me. I hope my comments help you. Again, there is absolutely no difference in quality between his bar and the ones at the gym, at least my gym. Oh, well maybe the weight of the bar, like I said. Besides that, it is identical.

Solid; Well put together; Great to pick things up and set them back down
Overall impression: Great value; pick heavy things up and put them back down - this bar does an excellent job. I have now used this bar for 3 days and I had my deadlifts up to 340# without any problems. The weight arms could be slightly longer but I am not a powerlifting competitor looking to push 450+ pounds any time soon. I am a orthopedic/sports physical therapist by profession and I would recommend this bar to anyone who wants to deadlift and row safely who is not going to be competing in powerlifting competitions where you need to use a barbell. Key as always...learn the proper technique. Pros: 1. Solid and well put together; No bad welds; symmetrical 2. Shipping/Delivery - tough product to ship given its dimensions but it came wrapped in a cotton type rug, with cardboard around the bar and wrapped in plastic. Easy to open; A few dings but I don't care it is a weight lifting bar im going to ding it up in use (not bent at all) 3. Not a competing powerlifter so I am very pleased with this bar for deadlifts and bent over rows - really helps to lock in my back compared to traditional barbell 4. The different handle positions are great to perform various techniques of exercises. Cons: 1. I mentioned a few dings due to shipping and the black paint does chip relatively easy but let me be honest I bought the bar to pick heavy things up and set them back down. I planned on beating this bar up quite a bit with my workouts so I don't find this to be an issue like others who have purchased this trap bar. This is not a huge issue to me and does not lower the value of this bar to me. 2. Knurling - slightly rough on my hands after the first few uses but getting better with time; I expected this however and as the weight goes up I start to use straps which reduces the stress on my hands. Again - this is not a huge issue and does not reduce my value of this bar at all.

Rapporto qualitร -prezzo ottimo

Short sleeves, but extremely sturdy and worth the price.
Liked: 1. Durability, 2. Weight capacity, 3. Price Disliked: 1. Sleeve length, 2. Sleeve paint. The hex bar is extremely tough, very likely having the advertised weight capacity. However, it would be tough to meet that weight capacity with the sleeves due to their length. Without thin stainless steel plates, you're likely to get stuck around the 405lbs range, or a bit above depending on the rubber coating of a plate. Not that this is not a lot of weight though. Also, the paint chips off pretty quickly, which really doesn't bug me (my garage gym is not intended to be an art gallery), but it may bug some people. Just ignore the paint. Use clips if you're worried about plates slipping due to paint chipping off. Overall, I recommend the bar for the price, durability, and weight capacity.

Well made, single welded, heavy unit
This is made well, heavy and does the job It makes squats so much more ergonomic I find the set up much easier than my regular squat bar No complaints, it is what it says it is and should last longer than I do.
