It is light weight but durable? Not really.
It is light weight. From the beginning (4 years now) the brakes were an issue. They needed to be adjusted regularly. That wouldnโt be an issue but 4 years into owning it the breaks are so unstable it is no longer possible to tighten them. Without a serial number no one will fix them, which is also an issue. I havenโt been able to locate the specific serial number. We already replaced the arms of the chair once. Now I see they are unstable again. With a user who cannot lower herself into the chair these instabilities make the chair downright dangerous. With the arms unstable and the brake unstable it isnโt very safe. Now I have to decide, do we try to fix this one up or just purchase something else, spending more money again. She had one used chair (quite heavy) that she used for years prior to purchasing this one. Durability and long lasting is important.

No seat Depth extension included
No Seat depth extension included16" depth and that's it.Other than that, everything as advertised. It comes with an extremely thin cushion,The seat has no padding whatsoever. So maybe they were being thoughtful, part of the seatcan be easily removed if for example another cushion was used. But I'm real disappointed about the wholemissing patented built-in extension for the seat. You can fool with the unique screw-less design of the 16" seat to make it stick out more.I almost get the feeling this is the vanilla version of a fancier model. For example, the removable arms are made to look height-adjustable, but they are not (not these arms).A very slight design change *would* make them height-adjustable, making me think that there is a version out there that will adjust. The biggest Looks-thing would be the "semi-pneumatic" tires, which are just solid tires with a rough-ribbed design, on rims that would accept Air-tires, if they made them. The center-of-gravity is so far back that if a person actually adjusts the adjustable back, the chair tends to want to flip back. This is prevented by the anti-tippers, but the tippers come from-the-box as set just a tad too high, so it's a free thrill almost tipping back on your head. The biggest plus is:The swing-away leg-rests are Also "swing-toward", a feature I love for getting through narrow spaces with very tight turns. The leg-rests can swing into the center of the chair, as well as away from it.The rims are beautiful, but dangerous-looking, the downside being the teeny bearing inside of the rim holding the wheel on.It's probably fine, I would just avoid pranksters in bad neighborhoods and maybe curious kids. The back-height adjustment knobs are locked on so tightly that third-party tools are needed to loosen them, but that's nit-picking, I suppose. And finally the comfort level is very slightly worse than a Drive-Medical-Viper, but that's my personal opinion. It folds up like a dream, The old viper cannot compete in that area. And the seat actually has a strap across it to aid in folding the chair. If there is a more expensive version of this chair, I couldn't ever afford it, so for me this chair is good enough.

Great wheelchair
This is a great little wheelchair. I am age 70 with a fairly recent knee and hip replacement, yet I could get this in our Acura SUV to use after hubby had back surgery. He hated needing a wheelchair but loved this one. I did buy an extra cushion for the seat but everything else was perfect for him. We had one of those portably ones with the little wheels and he hated it. We upgraded to this much nicer one.He does not need it all the time, if you had to sit in a wheelchair all the time you might need more, but this is great for trips to doctor etc. Best of all if I take the foot holders off, it reduces the weight where I can easily get it in our SUV. Footholders are easy to put back on when setting it up for use.

wheelchair
light wheelchair. Easy to put together/take apart. Fits in the trunk of my prius C, if I put one back seat down. Not easy to push for my husband if there is any kind of incline (say going into a store). I do not find it easy to push myself in this chair. I got some rubber type grips for the pushwheels which helped some. Very collapsible.

Breaking down after a year
Not even close to being near the weight limit, and in my opinion, the wheels are really bad quality. Specifically, the spokes. I've had to replace over 4 at this point and I just regret spending the money on this chair, when I probably could have gotten a better quality one without these fragile spokes that are just ridiculous. I am not buying a new set of tire wheel assemblies either, just going to cut my losses and order another cheaper chair, because this is not right it's breaking down this way. Bought in winter 2018, and it was just over a year in when the spokes began to fail. Not even that comfortable of a chair. Would not recommend. Will never have a chair with spoke wheels again.

LIGHTWEIGHT WHEELCHAIR
Wheelchair was just as described. As an older woman who pushes 260 lb husband, like the way it folds down to store in trunk of car. I can also lift it with no problem. Once you get use to lifting it by the wheels instead of the removeable arms it comes automatic. Still wish the arms were able to lock in, but this is perfect for us. Have had several products by Drive and have been happy with all.

Disappointment with product
I am somewhat dismayed and frustrated that when my wheelchair arrived there was absolutely no assembly directions or parts list description included. I am struggling with some issues with the breaking assembly as well as the tilt back and anti tipper devices. Further, I cannot apparently reach anyone in customer service at DRIVE and wonder why .

tires make it ride better then solid wheel chairs
chair arrived nothing to put together. wheelbase is a little short making small bumps iffy. tires make it ride better then solid wheel chairs. adjustments take time, (lots), folds easy is light as a feather.
