Super Deluxe CPAP Chin Strap, Extra Large

I bought three chin straps before this one, buy they only worked for a few days each. This one is simple and durable. It's very easy to put on and take off, and it keeps my mouth closed while I'm sleeping.

I use this in conjunction with my CPAP which is set at high pressure. I had spent a great deal of time, money and effort trying every conceivable brand and type of chin straps for my CPAP and didn't find anything that actually worked. Everything I had bought before this chin strap would slide off my head at night, or were to loose, to tight, or would slide off my chin. As a last chance effort to find a chin strap that worked I thought give this big bad boy a try. It worked perfectly keeping my mouth from being blown open with my full face mask with the high pressures. I have to admit the strap is wide and covers my ears and fully covers the chin, which took some getting use too; but the results are great! I don't have to have the strap very tight, it is actually comfortable, I put the chin strap on first then the head gear and doesn't move at night. Another added feature is I no longer have those mask strap impressions on my face in the morning because the chin strap keeps the mask straps off my face. It also comes with velcro you can use to go across the back of the head or to secure the mask straps which keeps the strap centered. I have been so pleased I have bought several more for backups. This has been the perfect solution to the open month problem for me. If you are having the same issue I had with CPAP (the jet engine mouth), changed from full face mask to a Mirage Activa gel nasal mask; it has worked wonders for me. Of course follow your Dr's advice; what has worked for me may not be right for you. I have found this chin strap to work wonders and with a nasal mask my event numbers are almost to zero!

None of these chin straps are going to be terribly comfortable. The Primada is just a bit scratchy, but not too bad to wear under my Airfit p30i nasal pillows, so it's making direct contact with my face. I also tried to wear it over, but the process of taking everything on/off was too annoying. Beware of irritation with beards, especially with a wide chin strap like this one. Having said all that, the lack of dry mouth during the night/in the morning, and monitoring my sleep and pulse OX with my Garmin watch, makes it clear the chin strap works. The 4* is in comparison to other styles of chin straps, that all work to some degree, and some are more effective and/or comfortable than others. The Primada seems to be a bit better in both than others I've tried, but couldn't stick to for various reasons. I am picking up a few more straps to able to wash and cycle through them, plus I suspect the velcro won't last all that long.

I’m a big guy, 6’2”, 250 Lbs. And I tried 5 different types and brands of head gear hoping one would work and keep my mouth closed at night. First of all, they were all too small, went I put it on felt like I had a vice on my head. What a headache maker. And although they look pretty simple in the picture because they were on a model, when you took them out of the package, you couldn’t tell which end was up and which end went on the chin and where all the different Velcro straps were supposed to go. It’s like putting together a Rubiks cube. They were all very thin, and some were incredibly cheaply made. The thin, tight straps left deep marks on my face. Returned everyone of them. I bought this one because the reviews said it fit a large head. And it does fit my big head very comfortably. The strap is also very wide, soft and comfortable. And it is so easy to put on. It’s just one strap and it stays on so well. I’ve worn it for five nights in a row, every night all the way through. I wear it with my CPAP and I need my mouth to stay closed so it doesn’t dry out at night… If you use a CPAP, you know what I mean. The Velcro is very strong, the elastic is strong, but not too tight. Otherwise I have it adjusted close to maximum, it looks like it should adjust to any small size just as easily. Wearing this headgear, and the CPAP… It ain’t sexy, but it gets the job done. FINALY!

It does the job of keeping my mouth shut but does not work well with full face Cpap mask. It gets very uncomfortable for me after minutes of wearing it (about 30 or more) around the ears especially. There were no instructions on how to use it properly included so I had to go online to figure it out. As for the extra straps the one in front was fine but the one on the back of the head became uncomfortable and gave me a headache because I was sleeping directly on it as I'm a back sleeper. And lastly it started to come apart after 2 nights of use. As seen in the picture provided. I would be very returning amd can hopefully find something that is more comfortable. This works well enough, but I found the material too scratchy on my face. I don't really have sensitive skin and I didn't feel anything when I first put it on; however, after wearing it for a few minutes, the strap really bothered me. Three stars because it does what it says. Minus two stars because I can't use it. YMMV.

This is the BEST fitting strap that I have purchased. Most straps leave marks on my face no matter how loose that it is adjusted. This Primada strap is comfortable and leave no marks. It is to bad that it only comes in white as black would not show wear, and dirt as fast. Price is double the price that I paid for my last chin strap that I purchased at a local pharmacy but it works way better. I will purchase this one again.

Purchased for my wife to help close her mouth while using the CPAP machine. I’ve waited for a few weeks to ensure the consistency of the experience. It’s working, comfortable. Definitely increased sleep hours. I read all the reviews before I purchased this product, my experience is matching all the feedback from positive reviews. Would recommend this product to anyone who had same issue.

Literally the best chin strap available in the market. Very comfortable and does not bother or disturb skin or sleep. Easy to put on and remove. Highly recommend for all mouth breathers wanting to switch to nose breathing.
