Great Track List But...
It was refreshing to see the track list on this CD as it contains a number of songs that you rarely find on disco compilations, at least in the US, as well as some unusual edits, such as the LP version of Giorgio's "From Here To Eternity" with a fade out. That said, there are two big problems with this collection. First, these are not the 12" versions of the songs. And second, the audio quality is quite poor. It appears that when they put this CD together, they adjusted the audio level so now every track sounds overly bright and tinny. If I crank up the bass on my stereo and lose most of the treble, the audio approximates the original recordings. However, you cannot use the songs on this CD to create a new dance mix, as the quality of these recordings pale in comparison to other compilations (most notably the Grand 12" series by Ben Liebrand). As long as you adjust your output and listen to these songs back-to-back, it's great to have some of these unusual songs. I just wish the audio quality was better.

Rump Shakin' 12" Club Memories
The title is appropriate! I'm disco aficionado from the word go and this comp has it going on!. I purchased it at the same time as the Philadelphia International Records 12" comp set. Between these two comps, if you're looking for the best of 12" tracks from that era, I defy you to find anything better?! I've never quite gotten the bent of American to European aesthetic and to be frank, it limits your experience and bores me to death. I became familiar with ALL of this music in Cedar Falls, IA? For the life of me, I cannot figure out how we were so internationally blessed in the middle of Iowa? Nuff said.

Near perfection....
Finally there's a compilation including many lesser or not at all known in US songs, which were hits in Europe. Really great compilation, especially when you consider the price. The only minus, although tiny one, is lack of a song which all other compilations lack. Well, maybe more than one. The latter one being Dschinghis Khan and former, besides a vinyl single, impossible to find anywhere, Happy'ion's Alibaba. Other than that you really couldn't ask for more......http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00000G6LI/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title

Skips
My favorite songs are on the C D but skips. There’s no scratches on it so I don’t know why

good CD
Everything was as advertised. I think it's stupid to have to write a certain number of words before you can post your review. If you can get the point across with fewer words, it seems like that should be all that's required.

Good slice of euro disco
As a German compilation this naturally leans towards euro-disco, and is a great chance to hear some minor UK disco hits of the 70s that tend not to make it onto British compilations - Dee D Jackson for example, and Sarah Brightman's irrepressible Starship Trooper. Of course they didn't all make it across the North Sea - the Gilla version of Lady Marmalade adds nothing to the song with rewritten lyrics about a teddy bear. And ... Disco Bouzouki, anyone?!Of the better known UK hits, many of the versions here are slightly different mixes of the UK releases, which is quite refreshing (extended versions of Y.M.C.A. and D.I.S.C.O. for example). All in all a very bright and cheerful selection of a quite specific branch of the disco business, well assembled (and incidentally very colourfully packaged with good liner notes about the era).

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 👍

Also: 5 Sterne und volle Kaufempfehlung!
