Bikes come to me after having been worked on with varying degrees of success by other people. Lots of flat tires and punctured tubes and rim liners that look like veterans of I don't know what, but what is clear is that they're no longer capable of protecting the tube. So I bought a couple of packs of these liners to be prepared for all wheel sizes, and yesterday used the first pair on a 1976 Olympic Commemorative bike with tires and tubes so far into decay that I thought some religious service might be appropriate. Anyway, new liners, tubes, and tires have transformed the bike and it has taken on a new life. Very cool, and these liners worked perfectly. Tight fit, easy install, and excellent coverage of the inner rim. I'm very glad I stocked up and had these in the drawer.

good for basic riding but not for high end bikes

There's no adhesive and none is needed. It just stretches around the rim and fits flush and tight. You get two sizes, so just pick the longer or shorter length as needed. Be sure that the textured side is facing the rim. Adjusting around the valve hole is easy. Just pick it up and move it. However, this rim tape forms an ellipse around the valve hole. So, be sure the hole is smooth ie. go into it with a rat-tail file.So, I like it a lot. I don't see this rim tape getting deformed and falling down the rim wall after a few months like my Velox rim tape did.

So at first I only gave this product 1 or 2 stars because The packaging looked different than the original product. Thinking I got 2 rolls instead of the 10 rolls i have discovered all 10 are rolled upon 2 rolls. The rim strips are perfect and fit my rims just right.

Have used these strips on three different rims, but have only put miles on two so far. For one wheel (rear) this rim strip has performed nicely - replacing an older rubber strip that didn't protect my tubes nearly as well. Initial impression is that they are very durable and a great value.
