Camp Blood First Slaughter

I am huge fan of the Camp Blood movies and thought this one fell right into line with the other ones. If you love low budget horror movies and are a fan of the other movies in the series- you will love this one too. Some of the acting is spotty but that's a given for all the movies of this nature. However, the direction, photography, camera angles, special effects/gore make this movie very fun. Definitely has an 80's feel to it if you like the horror movies from that time period as well. The movie is well paced. I only thought a couple of spots were kind of slow. I really loved how they did this movie though- very original ideas which really keeps your attention without giving away too much. There is a lot of homage to the original movies in this one that make it fun too. The director definitely did his part in paying attention to the other Camp Blood movies and incorporating them into his movie. Definitely a good buy if you are into low budget movies. I am going to check out even more of Mark Polonia's stuff. I watched another movie by him called Halloweennight which a lot of fun too. Fun and original. 4.5/5

The acting and script were about what you'd expect from a movie like this - not great but not unwatchable. The silly squishing sounds when people got stabbed really made me laugh though and the heavy breathing of the killer was just super annoying.

Creepy clowns ? Check !

The only reason to buy this dvd is if you are a completist like me and have the first three camp blood movies. If this is your first look at camp blood DO NOT BOTHER. First off the cgi and the kill scenes are beyond amateur and just bad,especially the cgi. No nudity and the explanation of the killer is confusing sort of like the uncle of my sisters brother type of deal. Mark polonia failed miserably with this piece of garbage my advice if they are thinking of making more camp blood movies bring brad sykes back even though the first three was low budget sykes did a WAY better job then polonia did with this installment. The first three is tolorable on the low budget scale this installment is not low budget but food stamp budget,just horrible nothing good to say about camp blood first slaughter skip it. I would not even recommend renting it cuz it is that bad. YOU BEEN WARNED!!!!!

If Jason was not undead, if he was a B movie, and if he went after people who don't have sex, then this is his movie. Absolutely hilarious graphics, a pretty decent sound track, laughable acting, and that, "oh snap" with a silly face ending. A must watch if you don't mind shaky camera syndrome too much.

Here you have great slasher scenes, good make-up and special effects however, every actor is speaking their lines so cool and calm. a girl's about to get her neck slit, and tge actor that sees it is about to happen, don't panick, don't run, don't scream - NOTHING!!!! HAD TO CUT THIS MOVIE OFF DURING SCHOOL SCENE

If you, like me, enjoy a good horror movie and enjoy being thrilled or even scared, then don't put your time, money and effort elsewhere, because you will get all of that from "Camp Blood: First Slaugter". A worthy continuation of the series.
