OasisSpace Stand Alone Toilet Safety Rail - Heavy Duty Medical Safety Frame for Elderly, Handicap and Disabled - Adjustable Bathroom Handrails Grab Bar, Fits Any Toilet

We needed a freestanding toilet safety frame due to our toilet bidet seat interfering with the type of frame that bolts to the toilet in the back, and this one almost fit the bill. It is sturdy and well-made, and it looks nicer than most medical equipment. You can put a lot of weight on it and it won't budge. The light blue enamel is much more attractive than the dreary grey of other products, and overall it looks more stylish and less grim than other freestanding models. However, with the toilet bidet seat installed, the rear support bars of this product interfered with the toilet seat, which no longer stayed up on its own and flopped on us when we sat on the toilet. Our toilet has a slightly rounded tank (it's a Kohler Gleam) and if there had been a half-inch more clearance this wouldn't be an issue. With a regular toilet seat installed there is also plenty of clearance. So this is probably more about our particular toilet and bidet combo than anything else, and we are now on our third toilet safety frame which has a very different design. A nice product for the price if it fits in your space.

I slipped on ice (in Florida!) and broke my hip. This item enables me to use the toilet independently (my preferred method) and makes it quite comfortable and easy to stand up and sit down. I like that it's freestanding. We didn't use the suction-cup feet, because it stays firmly on the floor w/o them. If you have a very low toilet, you might consider a different adaptive device, but this works great with our fixtures. It also doesn't take up much floor space beyond the toilet. It is slightly wobbly--not super heavy duty--but feels stable. Hopefully I won't need it for long, but this safety frame was worth every penny.

Even with clips in place and suction feet firmly on the floor, this wobbles and is unsteady. One of the clips came out on its own somehow, due to the wobbly movement probably. Then, when I put it back in place after replacing the clips, one of the suction feet wouldn’t hold and so it kept pushing against the toilet seat and was even more wobbly. I also am unable to open my legs wide enough to wipe properly when it is in place. I purchased this in advance of surgery and am glad I have the chance to test it while I’m still steady on my feet. Since it is essentially a walker, I’m trying to figure out how to best position it to help me stand from a seated position - to keep my balance - without fear of falling without relying on it to be weight bearing. If I can’t figure that out, it will be useless to me for its intended purpose. On the plus side, it is very easy to assemble. It came with two suction feet and, if I don’t want to use those, it also had two regular non-slip feet that look like they will be easy to install. It is of good solid metal and looks like it will last a good long time. There is a foam padding on the handles that help to keep hands from slipping. When not in use, I can fold it up and store it under the bed. For the wobble and unsteadiness, I would rate this three stars, but I give it four because of ease of assembly and storage, the overall sturdy nature of construction, and the assumption that a smaller, lighter-weight person may not have the same difficulty with unsteadiness and ability to adequately clean oneself in use.

The perfect support railing for small spaces. We have a small master bath with an elongated tall toilet and it fit perfectly. It was purchased for my elderly Dad with Parkinson's as he was starting to have a difficult time getting up from the toilet. The first time he used it, he grinned from ear to ear in excitement at how easy it was to use. It adjusted in height where it benefited him the most to lift up off the toilet seat. I explained to use both arms at the same time because it is free standing and not mounted to the toilet seat like some other models. I did look at the mounted options, but felt this was sufficient for his needs and so very easy to assemble, also it can be moved and used to assist when he gets out of the shower, so it has a dual purpose. It is very sturdy and I am very pleased with this purchase. I would recommend this product for anyone having difficulty getting off the toilet and has a limited amount of space.

I had one total knee replacement and the other knee replacement repaired last summer and still have some difficulty rising from the toilet. I've used the toilet aids with attached arms on a seat riser and really like those, but this bathroom is used for guests and it was embarrassing for them to see my toilet riser and arms. However, this one is easily moved and stored, quickly and discreetly. It provides the slight assistance I need to feel independent. It is easy to assemble and set up, no problems and it's quickly removable in case we have guests over. In fact, my husband said it's so lightweightwe could take it in the car when we travel because we always stay in hotels with tiny toilets nearly sitting on the floor. I thought that was a great idea! So, yeah, it's portable, too!

I bought this for use when traveling, since my usual stand is a bit heavy to be schlepping in and out of motels at night, or on a plane. The folding aspect of this stand was the appeal. Also, the legs have an extension that can be removed and reinserted, though it might not last long if you do. When assembling it, one of the legs lost its plastic insert and I had to pull that part out with a pliers and re-do it. Also, the allowed width is kind of narrow for me, since I'm fairly overweight. And the stability clips for keeping the arms/sides in place worked themselves out within 24 hours. So it's kind of a good idea with deficient manufacturing implementation. I kept it to see if it will really be useful but I won't recommend it to anyone. Update: the item being undependable, I requested a return but would have had to pay shipping, which is expensive. I rejected the Oasis offer of $8 as a refund and keeping the rail. I consider the rail useless and dangerous and plan to recycle it as scrap metal.

I like that this toilet safety rail system is stand-alone so it can be removed for better access to cleaning the toilet and the surrounding area. The suction cups are "heavy duty" and really keep the rails stable. One thing to note, however: The suction cups ONLY work on a solid surface. They will not hold if their placement is across a grout line(s). Our bathroom is small with the toilet located next to the bathtub. Because of the way the tile was placed on the floor between the bottom of the toilet and the side of the tub, we had to switch the suction cups to the FRONT legs so get a solid connection that made the rails steady.

Bought this unit for the RV toilet room. While traveling in the RV hubby had an health problem that made it difficult to lift from the low seat of the RV toilet. This unit was the perfect solution for the tight space in the RV. When we were done traveling we took in the house and adjusted it and once again it fit perfectly. The quality and versatility of this unit saved our trip. It folds up nicely for storage for just in case in the future. Unfortunately when we were moving it from RV to the home we misplaced the locking clips. Thankfully the seller, Gold Kernel LLC, was very responsive and supportive and sent us new clips! Thanks to them so much!

Exactly what I need, now, with a dodgy hip and knee. I feel a huge sigh of relief as I can now sit and stand easily from the loo, without putting extra strain on my poor old body. I like that it can be removed simply by lifting away and hidden away when I have company over, so my loo doesn't look *quite* so geriatric! There is plenty of room behind the back support beams - which are well designed to allow that space - to fit behind my toilet seat and cover. Soft grip handles go all the way from the front to the back, which ensures my elbows don't get knocked about when I'm moving around while at my "business". Good solid rubber feet ensure it doesn't slip around on my lino floor. I haven't used the suction cup feet as my lino is textured, but they give you another pair of normal rubber feet. I like that the arms can be moved wider or closer as needed, and still feel safe. I have them set at the lowest 'pin', at the moment, but they can be brought higher if I ever need to add an additional raised toilet seat at some point in the future. Super fast delivery. Easy to assemble... the top part came fully assembled, all I had to do was pop in the legs and secure the pins. I'm very happy with this purchase, highly recommended.

It is very useful when you can't attach grab rails to the wall. Only downside is ensuring the back rails can fit when seat is upright. This often depends on the design of the seat and the pedestal. A decent space between the upright seat and the cistern is an advantage.

Easy to assemble, sturdy . Not over powering. Easily removed.
