Light output great, instructions suck and hardware kit was wrong
First off the "Kit" DOES NOT come with everything to install the Flush Mount lights. Second off the instructions are off. Since I have mechanical skills and a great deal of common sense I managed. Included in my "kit" was 2 brackets to install the lights as if I wanted to surface mount them. Since I bought Flush Mount lights I needed 4 bolts to mount the lights. Now I have to make a trip to the hardware store and buy 4 stainless steel nuts, bolts, and washers. Rigid website says "This new lighting kit includes everything you need to install a pair of Rigid Industries back-up lights on your vehicle"... Now to the instructions. To mount 3 way switch on dash it says to drill a 1/2" hole. did that, switch didn't fit. I measured the switch it needs a 3/4" hole. The only 3/4" bit i have is a wood paddle bit, no problem drilling a hole with a paddle bit except I already had a 1/2" hole. A paddle bit is not made to increase the size of a hole, its made to drill from start to finish, I managed. Second, wiring diagram shows 4 black wires coming out of relay, there are only 3. The missing wire is to illuminate the switch, included is a short black wire with a "RING TERMINAL" on one end. I assume since its black and it has a ring terminal it can just be grounded and hooked then to the switch.. When I get finished installing I will update review.****Now that I've had the lights a few days I can add a thought. There bright, a great deal better than factory lights. I'm going to tilt my bumper up a tad to aim the lights further back, seems like there shining on the ground but I'm happy with there light output.

the switch that came with mine was bad. I need to contact Rigid to get it ...
First off, if you think the installation is "overly complicated" then you probably should pay someone to do it. Because my 8 year old and I got these done in about an hour. Hardest part is running the wiring.Second, the switch that came with mine was bad. I need to contact Rigid to get it replaced, but they havent replied to an email and I keep forgetting to call them.Beyond that, i'm completely happy with these. The diffused light throws enough around behind the truck to back up, and to walk around at night.Just to see, i had pulled a single SR2 flood from the front of the truck and put it back there to see the difference, but the flood pattern wasnt what I was wanting.WIring was more then long enough for my extended cab, short bed Silverado. Im pretty sure this would work for any full size pickup, and anything smaller.Wiring was simple. Read the instructions. If you dont want the "automatically come on with reverse" feature and just want manual control, dont run the white wire back. If you do, its easy to slip the white wire into the loom and run it back at the same time.Very well put together kit, which is what i expect from Rigid Industries.

Beware of seller - Trends Auto
So I have been a fan of Rigid and their quality. I bought the SR-Q non flush mount version. I like the lights and they seem decently bright.. However my problem is not with Rigid themselves. My problem is with Trends Auto, the third party seller that I received my product from. The box had been previously opened and taped back shut. The wiring harness had been opened and the lights were slightly dusty. I made multiple attempts to contact them, with no luck, about why I recieved a used/open box product... including calling them (I got hung up on twice). I am working with Amazon now to see if I can resolve the issue. Will try to update once I have a resolution.UPDATE:After 4 days, was still unable to get ahold of Trends Auto. Worked with Amazon and came up with a solution. Will try to post pictures of install when complete.

Good lights
Nice lights, pretty easy install except that they recommend and have the harness wired so the relay goes under your dash. This is not possible unless you want to cut a 1" hole through fire wall. Maybe I didn't read the directions right but I think I did. I had to run two hot and one ground through firewall and left the relay under the hood. The original wired would have been to short if the relay is installed underhood. You can run a separate wire to tie into your backup lights and position the switch so they come on when you reverse. You can ask I position the switch so they don't come on in reverse. This is good because people in parking lots would be pissed if you blind them everytime you back up.Pretty bright lights but not too bright. I would buy again. I wish they came with black screws instead of silver.

Perfect for my Application
I added these lights for more brightness when I back up due to the fact I have tinted windows on my truck. These Rigid lights throw off a broad bright pattern of light and helps immensely with my problem. They are quite bright for their size and could easily double as head lights but would blind other drivers. The flush mount looks great on my bumper and I like the supplied gasket seals. Installation went smooth and no problems with the included template. The wiring harness length is generous and I had no problem reaching from the back of my F-150 to the front engine area. I simply followed the existing factory wiring harness on the truck (there were some tough, tight spots though). My truck was already prepped with a wired switch and relay so I cut Rigids off the harness and wired direct dealing only with power and ground. Overall I am very happy with these lights as they served my purpose well.

... bit on the pricey side but they throw some awesome light and look to be really rugged
These are a bit on the pricey side but they throw some awesome light and look to be really rugged, i also love the waterproof connection at the lights. I mounted mine on the side plates of my trailer hitch the way they are mounted they are vertical instead of horizontal. I aimed them off to the sides and at a bit of a downward angle.they throw light about 25ft back and to the sides of my truck which works great for my needs. Im sure a different mounting point would bring better light. Install was easy and i decided to fish the wire that connects the factory reverse lights to the switch through the wire loom that came with the kit for a cleaner install. Overall this was a great purchase the lights are awesome and they exceeded my expectations.
