I ordered these for my husband prior to deployment. They're very rugged and look as if they'll be able to hold up to the abuse they're sure to receive.In an emergency, it's very important to know what your blood type is (at the very least, if you're negative or positive). Ideally, if you need blood, getting you as close to you own blood type is important. It's not a fail safe, but in a pinch it gives you a quick reference to look at. That's why soldiers have it listed on their helmets.If nothing else, his boots won't get mistaken for someone else's in his bunk (unless they, too are A- and have these tags on their boots, with the same sized feet).

I’ve tried putting these on my boots several different ways and it won’t lay down right. I think it’s too big for my feet and it just looks awkward. It then moves and I find brush getting caught between it and the laces.

Having a relatively rare blood type, I added these specific blood type tags where they would be helpful in an emergency.

These things are huge. I put them on my boots and they are wider than the distance between holes in the boots, meaning they bunch up and look ridiculous.

Bought this to use as a keychain with the added feature of showing blood type. Works great! So far the clip and pvc have lasted well against the constant abuse of being rubbed against various keys all day long.

This was a nice gift for my brother.

Cool idea, but they are quite tricky to make look good while lacing in.

I like the rubberized material and it is easy to put on the backpack or a badger
