One of two things that have worked for any length of time!
Edit 5/14/2023So, about a week ago I accidentally spilled about three or four times the normal amount I used on the back of my head. It was running down the back of my neck and made a bit of a mess. But, after that my seborrheic dermatitis has gone into remission and it isn't back yet!.___________________________________________________________________________________I've got a patch of seborrheic dermatitis in the hair on the back of my head, and it's really stubborn. I've used coal tar, Pyrithione Zinc, and Ketoconazole shampoos on it to keep it in check, but those don't stop itching for very long.Up until now the only thing I could get on this very itchy patch of skin, that would keep it from itching for hours, was Manuka Honey. I learned to dilute it a bit with water and rub it on the patch, and this would stop itching all day. But rubbing honey in the back of my head at night might have a downside as there is a sugar ant colony under my house. Or, while going outside during the spring and summer. I might get some unwelcome attention of the bee variety.Thankfully I tried this "As I Am" dry and Itchy Scalp Care Oil. It smells great, and is easy to use, and takes the itch totally away for about six hours. It tingles a bit when first applied, and then the itching goes away, and I can get to doing other things.I just bought a backup bottle.

Valid alternative to prescriptions
honestly, it does it job with the itching!Keep it mind it's 100% oil ..so you end up having your head completely greasy ( I apply it before bed and only if I don't have to leave home) . I use it only in a specific spot - so the greasy situation is still tolerable.Of course it's not a prescription , so the effect lasts only until you use it (not in the long term/next days...) , and if you accept to have a very greasy scalp. But it's a great product to alternate with the prescription, if you need a "break"

Pros and Cons
Decent product. This is my second purchase.Pros:-Definitely helps with dandruff-Easy to apply bottle-Lasts quite a whileCons:-Doesn't work instantly- I usually put it on in the evening, and when I wake up in the morning my scalp is so much better.-strong smell! Although it's not a gross smell, you can definitely smell all of the oils. It's not fruity or floury, just smells like tea tree and something else-anlittle greasy-Even after it's absorbed, my roots still feel a little oily for a few daysOverall, I feel like it's a decent product. You definitely have to play around with it to find the right amount for you. Applying enough to make it work, but not leave your hair super oily. I'm purchasing it a second time and plan on mixing it with some other stuff to see if I can get it to be effective but not so string scented and oily. Maybe makes it with my bentonite clay and use it as a scalp detox?

saved me from scalp psoriasis !!
I’ll try to keep this short. I have (self-diagnosed) scalp psoriasis. I have a dry scalp that produces flakes, but the flakes can sometimes be oily. It’s gotten so bad recently that even taking my hair out of a ponytail produces a cloud of small flakes around my head. Recently, the build up has gotten so bad that they produce large thick scabs on my scalp that bleed when picked. Messy and painful. Truly so embarassing, as I’m a college student, and I’ve started wearing my hood in my lectures out of fear people will see any flakes in my hair!! Such a bummer on my self confidence and makes me feel so unhygienic when I’ve done everything I can to fix it.I’ve been using this in combination with the shampoo and conditioner from the same set, so I’m not sure which product is doing the work or if it’s all of them together. I should mention if you are sensitive to smell, the tea tree scent is pretty strong, but it’s a clean and natural fragrance so I don’t mind it too much. I noticed a somewhat burning sensation when using the shampoo, but it could be because my scalp was extremely sensitive as this wave of psoriasis for me has been the worst so far. It wasn’t bad or painful just something I noticed. But when rinsing there was a really nice cooling effect, and my scalp felt so light, as if I could feel the cold water going right through to my brain!! Such a relief after weeks of painful itching. The oil was very soothing afterwards and it felt nice to massage into a clean scalp! After using the shampoo I honestly didn’t feel the need to use the oil again even though it says use when needed. Most importantly !! No sign of flakes or scabs on my scalp ! These products are my new holy grail <33 I hope they can be a more long term savior rather than a temporary fix like some other products I’ve found on Amazon, but honestly the results are the absolute best I’ve had in the last year that I’ve been struggling, I am so relieved I found these products!!

I wanted to like this... but it's just oily.
I can't really tell if this product is working for me. It kiiiinda helps with itch, but not nearly as well as other products I've tried ("Papaya Castor Scalp Massaging Serum" from Eden Bodyworks works great) ... This stuff just makes my scalp/hair super oily. A little definitely goes a long way, so be careful when applying.

Nice smell, instant calming effect
Before ordering this, I read all the reviews that say “smells terrible, too strong of a scent” but I wasn’t too concerned because I actually like the smell of tea tree oil. However, upon using the product, I’ve found that it just has a subtly sweet smell with a note of the pungent, earthy tea tree aroma. I’ve only used it once so far, but it stopped my scalp’s itching as soon as I rubbed it into my head. It did make my hair look and feel greasy, but I was expecting that from an oil based product. I will update my review if it works to stop dandruff.
