Happy so far
So far it's working like a charm. It appears to be very well built and it shipped quickly. It's a very similar body style to the Anjon I had previously, but how well the bearings will hold up is the test. The previous Anjon had started to fail after a couple years, the shaft/impeller seizing up and needing physical intervention to get spinning again. I'll still keep it as a back up but can't rely on it. The Shinmaywa's rated well, so I'll try them this time around. If I have any troubles I'll downgrade my rating, but for now I'm very pleased. For my present purposes, I'm using this in a fairly large "decorative" pond (maybe 17x25, 3.5' deep max). It's setting about halfway down in the pond depth and pushing water up though my filter barrel which feeds my return stream. Maybe only 4' of head but pushing against the bulk of water in the 35-40 gallon filter barrel. Versus my last pump just setting on a rock and attracting sunken leaves, this one I placed in double stacked milk crates with some galvanized wire mesh to cover the larger crate handle holes. I figure this should provide a little extra barrier between curious fish and sinking leaves I fail to net, and therefore have less solid matter trying suck in the impeller. I also attached a Little Giant float switch to provide a low water disconnect in case I have a plumbing or stream leak and start losing water. It's a temporary setup until I can build a skimmer in the warmer spring weather, but it's circulating well and keeping the water clear through the winter.

2017 and at first were delighted. Very quiet and running great
We installed this pump on July 30, 2017 and at first were delighted. Very quiet and running great. This week after 2 months the pump is only pumping a very small trickle of water. About 3 weeks ago my husband was concerned that the pump wasn't pumping to full volume and checked everything out. Couldn't find any apparent issues. We run our pumps 24/7 365 days and have usually had them last about 5 years. This one is not performing to the expected standard and we will be pulling it and sending it back. It is possible this is an uncommon occurrence and hopefully we can get it resolved with the company and get a new one shipped. If customer service and the new pump are up to standard I will reassess my review.

Pump failed after one year, but awesome customer service for replacement.
Bought this pump for our water structure in Nov 2019. It worked great up until now. Very quiet and efficient. One year later the pump is pumping a very small amount of water. We got the contractor to check everything else that may lead to this problem, but seems like the issue is with the pump. Called up the US distributor and got an awesome customer service. Getting the replacement pump soon and hoping that this one lasts much longer. The technical support person also gave some good advice.

This 4,800 GPH Norus pump is a replacement for a 10,000 GPH Ebara Denominator pump. This Norus pump is a quality pump with easy set up. Pump is quiet and my waterfalls is about as good as it was with the Larger Ebara pump. It also has a 2 year warrantee compared to a 1 year warrantee with the Enara pump.
